Wonderful! I had fibromyalgia and I had to stay home from school for 2 years, origami kept me occupied, all of the tutorials are from u! Now, I can do every origami u can do!!!! And I'm only 12! It's very rare to have fibromyalgia at a young age. Thank you for all ur videos!
Thanks Jo for this great Tutorial, I made it with an ~15.5 inch tissue foil. Your tutorials are great, the feet are a bit tough and I am not sure I did exactly what I was supposed to do when you pull out the extra paper, but it seemed to turn out fine. Keep up the great work, I love your, Tadashi and Sara's great tutorials and others. I am glad Robert Lang was so kind to allow you to do these.
Jo, your tutorials are wonderful. So very helpful when models are complicated and you make it possible to achieve success. I have learned so much watching and doing your tutorials. It took me about three hours. I'm giving the song bird to a friend as a gift. Thank you.
Made it! I have the book from Lang but there were some steps I couldn't make without this tutorial. I think with this video it's not as hard as good-looking the result is. Thank you for this!
Outstanding work. As this is called an intermediate Origami i probably had a very hard time to fold this songbird and failed at folding the legs in my first attempt and finally achieved it in my 2nd attempt. Thumbs up and i hope to see more Origami videos from you on youtube soon, folding us some complex models with your magic fingers.
Thank you very much for presenting how to fold such a delightful model, I managed to fold it with a slight flaw,m it can't stand on it's own, must be because of my shitty paper...
Hey Jo Nakashima I've folded the ancient dragon,smilodon,3.5 Phoenix, mammuthus primigenius and the bahamut:NOTE THIS IS ALL SATOSHI KIMIYA'S ORIGAMI FROM HIS BOOK:Works Of Satoshi Kimiya
I'm out of tissue foil from the origami shop. IMO impossible to do the feet with kami paper. Will try again once the tissue foil is delivered. Very nice folding. I'm doing the models in Lang's book. Grafting seems good.
Hard but amazing model ... the legs are a bit of a mess with me ... The bird needs its tail to stand and does not have this dynamic singing position lol But other than that, wow ! Great great great ! Thanks for the tutorial !
Yay I silhouetted the eyes to make it look more raven like. Thank you for the awesome tutorial. Can you show us the Alamo stallion featured in the same book? Or how to do the scales on the koi model? Thank you, please reply. I am a huge fan of your videos without them I would not be able to fold these awesome models or have learned so much.
Used ~22*22 sheet of what I think is called japanese foil. I even managed to make something like eyes and made it's legs very thin and bird-like. But it can't stand... Gonna make it a swing and glue it there :D
I have been folding for at least twenty years and I have never come across something like this bird even the bahumat was easier then this. Cool when done though.
@555aboud well try this, get some sort of old school book and find the centre page, then rip it out so you have an a3 piece of paper, cut to a square then fold :) (btw i didnt do this, but its always easier to try with a bigger paper first!)
