Okay but lineman work pays really well because of the risk. If he’d have kept working and charged more for being immune to the dangers of the job, he’d be living the sweet life.
Boss: "Oh you almost got toasted to death? Ok. But will you be here tomorrow morning? Max: "Uhh..." Boss: "Good, now get back to work! Max: "But..." Boss: "And the time you were out I'll tax off your paycheck, people could've thought I don't pay for your safety"
@@TheOfficialPYTC pretty sure that's the point of literally every villain ever, even with bad people in real life. I don't think that's exclusive to Spidey, my dude.
Fun fact: since his origin makes no sense, it was later retconned, that unbeknownst to everyone, including Electro himself his powers were actually latent mutant abilities that were only awakened by the electrical accident (because of the powers being electricity based.) This is also how he didn't die during said accident.
@@2saintlovature Loki was responsible for the formation of the original avengers team, however, Electro was responsible for bringing together the 2011(I think) iteration of the new Avengers (though they were just a regular avengers team, it had Cap, Iron man, Hawkeye, etc.)
@M V no, he is underrated. The most people have seen him in action is in the amazing spider man 2 movie. And that had not so great writing for the character. Before then the best we got was the animated series electro i.e. Spectacular Spider-Man, the original spiderman animated series etc He's not really a fan favorite villain, unless he actually is and I've been living under a rock, then that would be shocking. (Hehe get it?... Ok)
I think Kraven is Spiderman's most underrated villain. He's fairly strong, a top fighter, and a central character in one of the best Spiderman stories, but was made into a joke in the ultimate universe.
I thought electro's design in TASM 2 looked more menacing and evil, especially them eyes. And the neurons glowing in his head made him look powerful, but i respect your opinion
Electro is one of those Spider-Man villains that marvel has heavily underutilized in the comics. I may not like the version of electro we got in the Amazing Spider-Man movie, but the powers he displayed were closer to the potential this villain has and is why I believe he is one of the heroes deadliest foes.
I swear Electro is the only White guy in comics to have electric powers. Like no joke I can think of Black Lightning and Static shock for DC but literally just Electro for Marvel.
Lightning Lad from DC was originally white, but was retconned to be black in recent years. I don't usually mind those kinds of retcons because I'm all for modernizing characters that were created in the '40s or '60s (which were ridiculously white for obvious reasons), but find it hilarious that they picked Lightning Lad of all characters to do this with. They could've gone with, say, Saturn Girl or Matter-Eater Lad or anyone else. Or just made Lightning Lad another race or ethnicity. I mean, not everything's black and white. Literally. The guy who introduced that iteration of the Legion of Super-Heroes also created Miles Morales, incidentally, who has bioelectricity powers and is heavily inspired by Static (he's even named after the Milestone imprint that published Static Shock). I think the most commonly accepted reasoning for the prevalence of black comic book characters with electrical powers is that Storm was very successful (even though her power wasn't electrokinesis, but weather manipulation, which included lightning) and everyone wanted to capitalize on that fame by replicating the general aesthetic. Likewise with Black Lightning, whose power may have been a coincidence, but the ones who followed surely weren't. It's the same reason there were so many skateboarding black superheroes in the '80s and '90s (which Dwayne McDuffie, who happened to create Static and Night Thrasher (examples of both tropes), wrote a very critical essay about). Anyway, to give another example of a white electric superhero, there is Cole MacGrath from the first two inFAMOUS games (not a comic book character, I guess, but the cutscenes were basically comics and he did have a tie-in comic book). Surge from an iteration of the New Mutants isn't a "white guy," but she is East Asian. There are also Crystal of the Inhumans, Thor, and Shazam, though the latter two also have a lot more going for them than just lightning.
Can you do history of the Elementals, Cyclone and Sandman along with Kurt Conners the Lizard, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with Morbius, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer and Loxias_Crown AKA Hunger?
Are you going to do history of Marvel's Sandman and Kurt Conners the Lizard next along with Morlun who could possibly make a Cameo appearance in Spider-Man No Way Home?
That'd be a pretty smart misdirection tactic if he were more knowledgeable about and skilled with his powers when he designed the costume. Honestly, a lot of Spider-Man villains may seem underpowered from his interactions with them or how they utilize them, but if they were given to people as smart as Peter Parker is, they'd be absurdly powerful. Hydro-Man, for example, is just brimming with bottled-up potential, but the man himself doesn't really know how to apply it. Or just doesn't have the ambition.
Hey. Big fan of the channel. Would you guys be open to doing a top 10 origins episode. I think that would be sick and I’m curious to hear your opinions.
Electro has always been one of my favorite Spider-Man villains. Though, I do have to agree with you about the changes they made in the movie. It didn't like that. It didn't look like the classic Electro that I like. I'm glad they changed the look for the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. That was a cool update to the look!
I didn't like his classic starfish mask I always thought it looked too goofy but now that it's made of pure electricity in No Way Home I'm honestly more excited to see it maybe well see him supersize the mask around his face and throw like a giant ninja star
Great rundown of Electro have to agree with not being a fan of the Amazing Spiderman 2 movie character hopefully it will be better in NWH great channel have a great one 🤙🤙🤙
I liked the ultimate Spider-Man game when electro absorbed so much electricity from times square he turned blue... Where I always thought tasm movies got their inspiration
To be honest I like how he is blue in the comics rather the movie. I like now in no way home that he is using some kind of electric wiring with a arc reactor in the core somewhat like he did in the comics minus the arc reactor. Plus I’m pretty sure electro was Spider-Man’s first super-powered villain
I hope there's a new Episode coming soon, about Sandman and Lizard, there 's already a Origin of Green Goblin and Doc Ock, so now i hope there's another Episode about the Origin of Sandman and the Lizard.
So when are you going to do history of DC Despero since he is one of the biggest Justice League Villians from the Comics and he is playing a major role in the beginning of Season 8 of the CW Flash Armageddon 5 episodes event?
Electro is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains and he truly has the capability of being so powerful but he doesn’t know how powerful he truly is. Electro made me interested in electrokinesis (his name is in the superpower)
Fun fact: currently Max is dead, replaced by his resurrected ex girlfriend who apparently was killed by accident by electro during an intimate moment. When she was resurrected, the leftover traces of his abilities were born into her and she took her revenge on Max the same when she died: kissing him and electrocuting him.
@@rajyavardhansingh4491 Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #2 (Francine Frye dies kissing Max), vol 4 #16 (resurrected, discovers she has his powers, deliberately electrocutes him poetically through a lip lock to become the new Electro)
If you guys haven’t you should do a history of kraven the hunter because there is rumours he is going to be one of the main villains in the spider man 2 ps5 and also rumoured to have a sony movie
You are using the wrong analogy. Transformer does not store electrical charges. It increases or decrease output voltage. Capacitor is the one that store and discharge electrical charges.
