The Original Heidelberg Platen Press made its debut in 1914 and with various modifications was produced until 1985. Print enthusiasts often refer to this press as the “Heidelberg Windmill,” due to the look and cyclical motion of the paper feed mechanism. Besides printing, this press can be configured to emboss, hot-foil and cut. This particular model is adorned with a commemorative 115-year plaque, referring to the origins of the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen company.
