The amount of pain in Crooked is astronomical , is so relatable to anyone who had fough to get up after hard times. Pharrell and GD know each other . They both represent Chanel. There were photos of both of them in the studio years ago and fans are still disapointed no song was released . The brands really fought for GD . He wore Gucci glasses for the Nike shoes release interviu and Gucci put that image in all their stores catalogue. Givenchy made him a special hat with his real name Jiyonchy He wears it in Crayon MV. Louis Vuitton had invested a large sum of money in YG Ent just because it was GDs label. This was before kpop and idols colaborations with the fashion industry became popular, because GD made fashion world pay attention to Korea and the growing idol influence.

Oh wow I didn’t know all of that! I knew his fashion influence was huge but I didn’t know all that. I wonder if he will ever try to completely dive into the world of fashion from music like Kanye has🤔

GD has stated he was influenced a lot by Pharrell's swag. I forgot where the interview is from but he definitely has mentioned guys like Pharrell, Kanye, and Rocky before. But most notably Pharrell because I can definitely see the influence.

Yeah I’ve seen them at the Chanel show sitting together and it’s one of the only times i think I see GDragon look like he is somewhat starstruck (in a cool way) lol they are both pioneers for sure and Chanel ambassadors which is HUGE! Can definitely see the influence

GD Coup d’etat album is my fav of his. Most Ppl will recommend will BLACK the Jennie version from that album bc Jennie is a feature (but her name wasn’t credited bc she was a trainee at the time) but I do not like that version. I like the original ft sky Ferreira. The chorus is in English and just flows better to me. I remember when he did the live stage and Jennie appeared, everyone was like who is this! Bc she hadn’t debuted and we thought CL was gonna sing the English part. I was devastated. But overall from being to end album is nothing but bops. Oh and I prefer the Missy Elliot version of NILIRIA. That is Jennie in the mv but she was still a trainee so we didn’t knw her lol around this time he was dating a Japanese American model named Kiko. Their relationship was toxic AF. So that is generally what the song that xx is about. The bleeped out word is the Korean word for bastard.

Some people might not agree with me. Coup D'etat is his best ever workpiece. The production, the concept, the direction of the album & how much the album influenced the kpop scene. The self title track still my fav from him. Straight fire 🔥

@@strawhatnana8872 straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I will have to agree with you! Although Untitled was a more raw version of himself. I still think Coup d’etat is the superior album. Both have that unique sound and style that is GD however Coup d’etat just does something to my soul!

@@luckyxxxxk among his 3 projects Coup D'etat definitely his best ever work that album really solidified GD himself as an artist. Kwon Ji Yong was a very personal album I feel like. Clean production & raw writings. Where he shows to audience who Kwon Ji Yong is. One Of A Kind is a good album. The different sounds he does in the album was him to show what he capable of doing & he can only do. The tracks was very different to each other but it works. 3 projects really showed his progress as an artist & a person.

The bleep had to be done to make the video able to be shown on music broadcasts and such due to the broadcasting rules in their country. However the actual version does not bleep out the term. One of my favorite songs from him even years later.

There were no English lyrics in the video. At least, I couldn’t pull them up. And honestly, I rarely look at lyrics on a first listen. I’m focused on the video aesthetic and the vibe of the song if I’m being real
