This is the original pilot for Tires filmed in 2019. Season 1 that’s on Netflix was shot in 2023, production was self-funded by Shane, fully directed & edited by John McKeever, then Netflix bought it.

@greatbambino2993 I didn't dislike the Netflix version but am hoping the next season more closely resembles the style and tone of this pilot. Imo they actually kind of dumbed it down on Netflix. The subtlety in the pilot was replaced with more obvious humor (Schulz)

Why is this so much better than what was released on Netflix? Maybe it’s the differences in camera angles. I feel like they tried to make the Netflix one look like The Office with all the closeups and sudden panning, but it just came out looking like a fever dream instead. I could really only sit through it because I like Shane. It still gave me this weird feeling the entire time watching it that I never get from the original pilot. Also need to see more guys from MSSP make an appearance and not dudes like Schulz.

@@slycarlo8747 I agree, can’t quite put my finger on it but something was off about the Netflix show. I expected it to be way better after seeing this version first. Thought it would be something I rewatched over and over but I tried to rewatch it once and lost interest. I’ll still watch season 2 for Shane and Gerbies of course, hopefully it gets better!

Yeah ill admit, this original pilot was funnier, but the series definitely has it's moments, here you can tell they had a goal in mind but they were messing around and having fun with it, the series feels more written and thoughtout. Sometimes, the best comedy is off the dome.
