I can't believe how many of you like my wallpaper! Unfortunately it has to go though but seeing all your love for it I'm going to try and keep and bit and frame it for prosperity
A wise man knows that great value lies in the simplest of things...seeing you Ash so very happy with the Duck Salt and Pepper shakers only confirms the belief of what truly authentic people you are! So many beautiful choices you both made today and the cuttlery (totally agree about weight) is lovely. Merci!
Ash don’t be dismissive about just being happy with the little things. It’s the little things that add life and personality to a home. Your salt and pepper shakers are a wonderful example. Cutlery looks beautiful too. Terry that wall paper is magnificent! I have a feeling you’re going to lean more towards English design in decorating the chateau, and I hope you do. It’s a magnificent design ethic! Those gorgeous chairs in the shop were a perfect example!
I love the Duck salt n pepper shakers. So so cute. Terry that wallpaper was lovely too. I think you chose wisely with the paint. So excited for you both
Can’t wait to see what the paint looks like. The wallpaper is stunning. You could always just put it on one wall in the room if you think it’s overpowering.
Love, love, love the ducks! But separately, that wallpaper looks like a good match with that dark red Terry likes so well. I would think they might work together in a room so that neither is overwhelming. Maybe you can find some of the wallpaper elsewhere.
I love the wallpaper, you just don't see wallpaper like that everyday. Although, it reminds me of this beautiful wallpaper by Lucie Annabel called Tulip Garden.
The cutlery is just perfect! 🍽️🍴🍽️🍴🍽️🍴🍽️🍴🍽️🍴🍽️❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 love the ducks too! 🦆🧂🦆🧂🦆🧂🦆 This kitchen is going to be FABULOUS!! 🤩✨💫🌟⚡️🌟💫✨⚡️💛💫🤩✨⚡️☺️💫👍⚡️🤩🌟✨💛💫🤩🌟💫💛💫⚡️🌟🌟💫💛🤩Amazing!!! 🌟💛🌟💛🌟💛🌟
I love that wallpaper! Great paint color too. Ash, I love your enthusiasm. My husband is in surgery right now, your vlogs are keeping me calm, thank you!
Terry, that wallpaper is gorgeous. I can certainly see you using it somewhere in your château. Ash your salt and pepper shakers are just so delightful.
The wall paper goes with the other red paint sample pot you were just looking at, which would look stunning on the ceiling and walls. With one wall of wallpaper if it could be removed. Love to see you both having fun 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for a lovely time choosing the color of your kitchen walls … the gris is perfect. You’re right Ash, the Pepper …will make the kitchen much darker. Love your darling ducks and most importantly I feel very privileged to be a tiny part of your life adventure! You are two love birds ❤…Terry I can easily see one of the Chateau rooms covered in the wallpaper you love👏👏👏 the designs and colors are regal, old worldly feel…Grand….maybe for a formal dining room, or a library, or a parlor…I sense it would be too busy for a bedroom. 🌺
I love the wallpaper,,,perfect with those chairs! If you can get a good price, go for it,,it's brilliant! Looks like you found another great place to shope too!
I love the damask wallpaper. As well as this channel and the chateau. I've been binge watching from the beginning over the past week or two. This is my favorite renovation and family. Good work boys!
Non-arguments like this just make me smile. And you're right. The simple things in life make life simple. The ducks are a must have. The wall paper on the other hand... You would need the right room and the right furniture for that, otherwise it's overpowering.
The grey tone will be much softer once it’s on the kitchen walls… looks fantastic with the wood countertop as well as the cupboard doors! Awesome choice boys!
That paper with the burgundy paint and the chairs would be amazing in the bedroom over the entrance. like you said you have lots of rooms :) Love the ducks!
You two guys are so lovely. I'm so impressed with the care you take over all the decisions regarding the decoration and purchases of items in the Château. I love all your videos, can't wait to see the kitchen actually done 😊
That wallpaper is gorgeous and I think would look absolutely beautiful in a chateau...goes perfectly with the classic feel you are going for in my opinion
The lady has a lovely shop. I like your paint choice. Very nice cutlery and yes the duck salt&pepper set is splendid. The details are so exciting to see coming together. The wallpaper is beautiful . Enjoyed you having us shop with you. Blessings.
So fun to watch you guys in these final stages of the kitchen renovation. Terry you have fantastic taste and so does Ash even if he doesn’t know it. I think Ash is more tack tile and leans into how things feel or how they make him feel. Terry knows his taste and it tends to cost more. Anyway love your vlogs. Thanks for taking us along with the chateau renovations.
That is a beautiful wallpaper. That would be great where the stairs are if there were none wood walls there or maybe in the formal salon. Maybe in one of the rooms on the floor you are just starting on restoring.
When I go for paint or wallpaper I know exactly what I want. Till I get there and there’s so much choice. I’m sure you’ll know what you really want as soon as you see it on the wall Good luck lads
Hi everyone, lovely little shop! I’m with Terry 😉 I love the darker colour dark pepper ! It looks more french ! The lighter colour is to modern & doesn’t have any depth! Ash love your little ducks ! Good luck with the paint choice guys! Take care lots of love 💕 🥰
That wallpaper is gorgeous! I would love to see a room done in that. Ash, the little things are critical. As Mies van der Rohe said, god is in the details. The little things, in my opinion, are the detail that make a space personal and special.
I’m sure what ever color is decided on will be fantastic, because you will have thought of every possible advantage/disadvantage for the color choice. Ergo, it will be perfect for you (and that is really what matters the most). Thank you for taking us along on your journey. ❤️🏰
THAT WALLPAPER! I ❤ it. Think, you could do the other walls in a light sage and paint accent pieces with that lovely red on the spoon. It would look warm in winter and cool in summer. I'd do it. ;-) I love it when your family says, "Come on, then." It's like your personal family team chant before battle with the vagaries of the chateau.
Awe just made me love you both more . Your interactions with each other expresses so much about you both. Terry get a sample of the wall paper your friends at Chateau La Ferte Have the wall paper knowledge bet they could find a reproduction. I’m with you love the burgundy red paint it is regal. ❤❤❤
Proof that it is a small world, Terry - I saw a vlog this morning of 2 guys who explore abandoned castles. The inside rooms were in very good condition and all the original furnishings, artwork etc were still there. The drawing-room had YOUR wallpaper and wall paint. It was gorgeous!!
Can’t wait to see which pops of color you use in the kitchen. With the relatively neutral palate you have chosen for walls, countertops and cabinet fronts you will be able to change the aesthetic easily with different pops of color at different times of year. And changing the light bulb hues as well. I love the color palate so far.
You two are like kids in a candy shop. Ash lights up with the salt and pepper shakers and Terry’s smile over the wallpaper was brilliant. You’re having fun with the final stages of your kitchen and I’m so excited for you. xx
What a gorgeous shop! I love choosing paint colours and I think the gris is definitely the way to go. I really like the wallpaper - surely there'll be a place for it in one of the rooms you're going to be letting.
Hi Terry and Ash, what a quaint shop that is. I think the color you ended up with is going to be the one. Ash, I love the Duck salt and pepper shakers. Terry, I like the wallpaper as well. Love from N.Y.
Hi guy's. Love that wallpaper it is so dramatic and colourful, just what you need in your chateaux just breath taking, and from the look on the video that beautiful pinky red paint would match just fine. hits for you terry !!!!! Ha Ha Ha. Love to all. Jill, Birmingham. U.K. XXXXXXXXXX
So happy to see Ashley choosing kitchen stuff. I agree about the weight of the cutlery. It has to feel right in the hands. I'd definitely choose the Gris shade for the walls. You've spoiled us tonight with two episodes .love from County Durham xxx
Thanks Glenys. It’s the only thing I’m snobby about, but I’ve been looking for a nice set in every brocante we have visited! This is the first one I’ve found that I like 😊
I think that wallpaper would go really well in a regal bedroom. A four poster bed in dark wood, dark red velvet full curtains around the bed with gold coloured rope and tassel tie backs. Light wood parquet flooring with accent rugs. Chairs in a light gold pattern fabric but with red accents to tie in the wallpaper and bed. The wallpaper has the pattern of the room so the rest is done in plain or faded pattern colour to compliment.
Have to laugh! I thought that Terry was the shopaholic, not Ash! Still all good choices. I like the lighter coloured paint by the way. Can’t wait to see the final kitchen. You won’t know yourselves lads with the finished kitchen and apartment. Well done you! 😍😍
I agree with Ash, silverware, as we refer to it in the US, or cutlery, HAS to have a little weight to it. The S&P Duck shakers are A D O R A B L E! 🦆 🦆
Oh get those chairs and poof, definitely got lots of rooms lol 😂 they would look good in the ruby red room 😊 yes wallpaper will match ruby room 3 painted one wallpaper
thanks for the bonus episode! loved the wallpaper terry and the gris colour is beautiful. I share Ash's fascination for cutlery too and that pattern is gorgeous
I am with Ash on the cutlery. I love thrifting, and I don't need everything to be a matched set, so I scour thrift store utensils and if I find some heavy flatware forks, I buy them. Usually if I find Oneida, they are perfect.
Love love the wall paper. How about using it in the bedroom with the hidden storage cabinets. It would be so pretty on one wall. Love your choices Terry wish I had a chateau! Don’t forget the music. Would be so nice to have music heard throughout the chateau!
