Thunder dragon was one of the best cards in old school Yu-Gi-Oh because you get 1: thin your deck out by 2 cards this increasing consistency 2: a lot of the powerful traps in those days like raigeki break, phoenix wing wind blase, karma cut required discards, so thunder dragon became the go to picks for those types of cards because you can you get free discard fodder to enable those types of cards for essentially no cost. Also shout out to that nino guy. No idea who nino is but she sounds important
@@JasenMinus This. . . you already get fodder by having the better card which would give you better options. It's a brick card in the worst scenario which you don't want to happen.
Did changing his name to rhymestyle made him BECOME rhymestyle?! What was that last duel?! Bro had all of his strongest monsters out on the field. That's insane.
Damn what an unexpected video! A GOAT format duel between Rhymestyle and 2 time YCS Champion rhymestyle. Really takes the term “mirror match” to a whole new level “I didn’t know names had power” I mean the Dawn of the Duel arc from the original Duel Monsters anime establishes that. There’s a reason why Bakura tried so hard to stop Atem from learning his name 🤣🤣 “The name doesn’t have that much power” no Rhyme has that Heart of the Cards/Destiny Draw power, if Tyree wanted gambling power he needs to change his name to DotoDoya
Dude, he finally mentioned that one person about nino best girl XD. That's hilarious I've been watching that war in the comments and it is HILARIOUS. Great vid though rhyme, love watching your vids.
9:12 “Where’s my apology?” “What am I apologizing for again?” “How about you apologize?” “You’re right” “You’re right” “You’re right” “You’re right” “You’re right” “I’m sorry” “I didn’t mean it” “I accept your apology” 😂
You want to know my favorite thing about old school yugioh? Thunder dragon. By discarding thunder dragon from your hand, you get to add another thunder dragon to your hand
I remember...I stopped playing the TCG for a few reasons -Everyone stacked there decks. If you didn't stack your deck you lost. Even after shuffling they stacked. -So many people stole cards. Sometimes While you were dueling. -Just time and commitment. But back then it was generally fun to buy boosters. I still remember the time someone robbed a gas station of there stock of Yugioh.
Yes real life dueling when you are 8 years old do you really expect a kid to let you be the only one with RA or exodia? Nah we learned on episode 1 that best strategy is to steal the cards and destroy them xD
People played Thunder Dragon back then for discarding as you basically get Graceful Charity to draw 3 and discard the 2 thunder dragons putting you +2. Thunder Dragon also had good Synergy with discarding for Raigeki Break and Phoenix Wing Wind Blast. once in the grave you could banish Thunder Dragon for chaos monsters like BLS or Chaos Sorcerer
Hey rhyme I wanted to see if we could get more dragon ball breakers they added Beerus and whis as transpheres and I think that would be cool along with more super Saiyan variations.
Another day, another video of tyree (I mispronounced that I know) getting beaten by Rhyme. Like what did he freaking expect with that *CHILDISH* play of using exchange to give Rhyme his jinzo. My guy forgot he wasn't just dueling Rhyme, he was also fighting against God.
yeah the only thing i dont miss about old yugioh is DEFINITIVELY duo and dustshoot. these cards can BURN in hell. that and the fact that ftks are kindoff good
No we didn't know the significance in Thunder Dragon back then. Dude we were small brained back then. Our decks were. Trap Hole, 4-Star Monsters with high attack points. Blue Eyes White Dragon. whatever traps destroy monsters Swords of Revealing Light Dark Hole Maha Valo Sangan Giant Rat Witch of Black Forest Sinister Serpent Snatch Steal Anything that was holographic Man we were idiots back then.
Funny that Tyree should take your name and get your luck; in Ancient Egypt they had the concept of the true name which if known to your enemies gave them absolute power over you. Isis was proficient in magic because she knew so many secret names. Names give power, or at least that's what they believed.
