None of the covers have been able to really replicate the creepy chanting vocals. This is such a cool theme for a demon, I like how it comes across as “heroic”. Wish the Demon Slayer OST wasn’t such a pain to access.

Zohakuten is so bad ass. Really wish he was the proper upper 4. But ... I love hantengus gimmick and design as well, him and douma are pure evil demons.

There are only a few demons who truly never had any goodness in them. Muzan, Douma, Hantengu. They never did right by others, ever, not as humans and not as demons. In my mind Hantengu is one of the only true demons.

at 3:24 i always thought it was electric guitar but listening to it more closely it actually sounds more like electric violin (or maybe some Japanese instrument) which is really cool either way!

Its criminal they didnt name drop this demon in the anime till the last episode. Such a badass name

This soundtrack makes sense. There IS divinity. That is why it is truly horrific, because those realizations and command over Maya are well learned and skilled, and furthermore, can only be ACQUIRED through acknowledgement of righteousness and truth. Despite that, there is a conscious intent to use it for the opposite. That is an asura. Notice how he fights for what's technically righteous, at face value (something Leftists should learn) but he does so through 'Hatred', lesser understanding or acknowledgement of other factors, and ignorance of the his own existence, which itself can be evil or at the least, based on behaviors that lack consideration. Zohakuten does have a sense of righteousness. But his essence is hatred, that is the medium by which his pursuits are made. That's an Asura. It is corruption of truth or corruption of the means by which it is unearthed or pursued.
