@@ElderGod_Naz Ain't no way, need to fucking start drama for that? Dipshit go watch some cartoon network, maybe adventure time knows what's goin in your rotten brain you little cunt.
Es en el ubico detalle que puedo decir que el remake le queda bien, que nico robin grite quiero vivir, y con eso hacer que luffy se levante para golpear a lucci. Pero en todo lo demas el original le gana al remake
Luffy’s pose when he catches himself from falling in the original is better to me. Plus that roar when he stands up shows that even though hes past his limit hes going to give even more. It really gets your blood pumping.
@@noseriously2840 In my entire life, for me to gain consciousness after a deadly attack, all I had to do was think of your family members who gain strength from the unknown.
Fr imagine beating the hell out a guy and he’s all bloodied up and then he gets up pink and shining and smoking and he just stares at u looking pissed…
@@yesyouareright9800 no the original was just better. each of Luffy's punches feel like they actually have an impact. The 2019 version looks way too bright and the animation looks kind of weird, now I do admit that this movie was obviously not going to be as good as the original because they had to fit an entire art into one movie.
@@silentsoul2196Yeah manga always has the proper pacing, at this point anime is good to see animated battles. Pace has even gotten worse. Nonetheless this will always give me nostalgia and I'll always love it.
It's not just because of the old quality, they look better because it's formulated better. The shaped and forms in the art is more defined and the emotion behind it drives the whole thing.
@@anunwantedsoul3672 mostly because back in the 90's - early 2000's days, animes were drawn and not made with lazy digital CGI, that's where comes the raw, powerful aspect of it
If they are invisible they can't be punchs fast if it have the hypersonic speed ther will be the punch image without moving that shows that the human eye can't see the velocity it is moving.
what impact? what emotions? everyone literally says ''the old version was better'' in literally everything, anime, movies, tv shows, all of you have been fooled by nostalgia
@@yesyouareright9800 by impac he meen the scene where he had robin says i want to live flashpack And by fellings he mean the FEELINGS THAT U DONT HAVE JUST LIKE A FUCKING FATHER
The enies lobby and even thriller bark animation was better than the animation in fishman and punk hazard, except obviously for some scenes but generally it seems like the animation quality for one piece dipped in fishman then slowly went back up in dressrosa.
I feel like the original is more effective bc first of all to get to the remake you have to get through teh first but also because you get luffy think of his crew, then you get Robin and you get that slow mo and then the gatling and its just sublime
@@hawkidprod6189 its a shorter version but not just highlights and a lot of new fans prefer that revamped arcs instead of the old ones especially those who wants to catch up to the latest episode.
2008 has so many good decisions like when Luffy stood up, Lucci is towering in front of him making his struggle feel more desperate. The remake missed a lot of those little touches.
@@AlquimistEd Especially when Luffy’s attack landed on Lucci, you could feel the impact, while in the movie version it felt stiff. Also, when Luffy launched his attack in the anime, you couldn't see his hands, which gave you the impression that Luffy's punches moved really fast, while in the movie version, you see them appear and disappear, which made them not feel that fast (sidenote: also, in the movie version, you could see Luffy's hands appear and disappear right when he starts his attack, which doesn't make sense because they didn't reach Lucci at that point).
Pre Thriller Bark art was peak ngl, it had that old 90's aesthetics in it while still being extremely well animated and beautiful. Ain't no way someone thought the 1st Jet Gatling against Rob Lucci needed a rework are yall crazy 😂😂😂💀
The reason why the remake looks less exaggerated and less appealing is because the old one wae animated by Katsumi Ishizuka and the new one isn't. At least that is the most convenient answer I can come up with to this argument.
@@Meta.Muncher if you don’t see that the old animation is better then go watch the whole series without these new graphics then tell me which is better
I got that adrenaline momentum and Im not knowing when Im, thinking it's time to go get 'Em, ready to snap any moment, they ain't gonna know what hit'em
Mine and my dads #1 fave moment of the series and also love the “i will never- drop to the ground- ever again!! (For the duration of this fight)” and then this whole scene. 🤩
@@apno7234 ya, it was. Not many of us can find in person friends to watch stuff together like, especially for their 1st time and them liking it at least 1/2 as much. Or other things in common. 😮💨❤️🩹
I gotta go with the 08 version. Whenever I'm struggling with something and I just desperately need to squeeze out that last 1% past my limit, I think of Luffy catching himself as he was about to fall on his back. Then the roar and the gatling. That emotional scream as he finished it. Mmph! A moment immortalized in my memory.👌
The original, especially in the period around that time, was years ahead of its time in the cinematography department. They're not made with just anime in mind, they're done partly in the mindset that they're a movie. Zoro vs that steel guy was the prime example. Just the pacing, the breaks in between, the camera angles, the cut, that's still one of the best fight in One Piece in my opinion.
@@cheaptrick5873 for it’s time? It sure was, Came out nearly a Decade Ago, The only one to match it which honestly doesn’t count cause it was seasonal was AOT
@@kzukiodenthechad7205 bro you know that there was: Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Death Note, Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann, Monster, Gintama, Yu Yu Hakusho All of them CAME Out before 2008 and at least as good or better than One Piece
@@Bruh-Tea its always better cause its the " original " thats where u work the hardest. remake is like eh its like doing a mission again for the fifth time
@@supercrunch1004 nah its wrong bro original is like ur doing a work for the first time and the results is good but now that u have become better u wanna remake the old one so it became better but the original one is the start of everything, every hard work every Intention u did is in there so it is better in some parts.
I really thought I was gonna be in the minority thinking the original just looked better. 😂 Glad the anime community recognizes greatness and doesn’t hype up whatever is modernized and looks decent.
The original is better with how powerful it makes Luffy’s jet gatling look. The slight screen shake with each punch landing, the sound effects on each hit, and the fact that Luffy is punching so fast his arms aren’t even visible anymore, it looks like he’s punching the air with so much force they become air bullets aimed at Lucci that burst on impact
The "camera" work was just better in the original: panning up as luffy stands, the slight shakiness and transitions all make everything more impactful. But credit to the new ver for good animation and art
True the old one showed Luffy struggling to stand up and continue fighting it felt like he was about to pass out and he was trying with all his will to continue standing even after all the damage he took.
In my opinion, Remake is beautiful but most of the time the good animation takes away the emotion of the original scene and it is dry, The original was very impactful that cry of agony of Luffy that even being on the limit still stood up
@@valentino_cp6993 It doesn't. The art is very bland and the Sakuga is non-existent. The original was animated by Naoki Tate, an OG One Piece animator who also animated Luffy punching celestial Dragon and Akainu vs Whitebeard. This one has no identity.
exactly but, it think this makes sense "in my opinion'' try to show this to your non-one piece fan friends (i tried it a second ago) and their voted to the remake version. But i agree with you that the emotion wasn't there like the original "as a one piece fan", all i want to say that if you dont know one piece all you can see is the animation not the mood that the story gives.
In the original, Luffy refused to fall and used the cries of Robin to draw out the strength needed to completely overwhelm Lucci. In the remasted, we see Luffy get a Zenkai boost as he's falling in the form of a quick snippet of Robin which motivates him to humiliate Lucci. Each has their perks and I love them both
Agreed Robin's voice sends chills down my spine though ngl. The "I WANT TO LIVE" was filled with pain, regret, sadness etc. Her VA did an amazing job at making it sound and feel real to.
This man screamed away pain, fatigue, and the feeling of collapse for his crewmate, looked death into the man who stands before him, and put everything on the line in the last ditch effort to save his crewmate. Original for sure
@@YasuoTheWanderer ah just cause you got an animator from a different anime it makes it the same. You know there arent an infinte amount of experienced animators?
Seeing him struggle to stand, look exhausted with defiant eyes, and Robin's crys pushing him forward are necessary! That's who luffy is, he will struggle to defy the odds to protect what he finds important. He's not just some badass. The new one lost a lot of heart without context, if they have removed the filler it should still be full of emotion.
The original actually shows how strong luffy became. Hiting him everywhere at once. Like a wall of fists. The other one in the remake seems less empactful
I love the original shot where lucci is towering over luffy instead of the remake where lucci is covered, the original shows how much of a threat he seems just to get destroyed by luffys gatling
This is literally my favorite scene in the entire franchise but I gotta say the original is better because of the rough drawings and the super thin lines really make it look like a drawn out battle and the fist look faster. The remake is great but I feel like the original captures the moment way better. Edit: luffy almost falling on his back and being able to snap back to his feet is also very one piece like cause it doesn’t seem like natural movement and almost rubber like. It feels like he already passed out but simply refused to fall by any means so he almost magically got back on his feet. That’s the only thing I feel like the remake did “wrong”
