for the ice staff code, each of the dot patterns correspond to a number, it's a ternary counting system similar to binary but in base 3 instead of base 2 so after reading the dots you get a number. you then need to match the number to the weird symbols. those symbols are a base 4 counting system with .=0, l=1, L=2, and f=3.

1:22:00 for some reason I started thinking about how in dead space 1 there’s a sign on the wall that says “know god no fear, no god know fear” and it means that at first you believe in god and don’t have fearbut soon after while playing for a bit you realize there is no god and you should no fear because of how scary the game was.
