Demo of the oripure pickup has set. PHC-5B in the bridge position. PB-5N in the middle and neck positions. All pickups are Alnico 5 magnets. Played into the Archetype Plini plugin.
just bought a Warmoth Strat build Mahogany body 1& 7/8ths wide neck shector tuners and a Williams? bridge with the press in shaker bar thinking about getting an alegree 54k ohms Humbucker ( middle to see what it would give to the pearly gates) it already has a tone-shaper kit in it and a Seymour pearly gats bridge and neck ...got it for $565.00 + shipping and TAX I hates flea-bay!!! but the neck and the body were almost $600.00
Hey dude, nice demo. I would have liked a more cleaner sound in the beginning but it was really informative and fun to watch regardless. Thanks for the demo.
Dem neck and mid Rails! Bridge sounds thoaty but tight..Like ett! Thank you sir for the demo.. Made my decision to execute all the better! Sounds almost ducky.. Which is good. 😀😁😂😃.. Nice brutha!
You've had this a while now, my question is; can the neck pup while split, get a perfect SRV low E quack/thunk ? Also , what amp and processor or pedals are you using?
Nice playing dude. I'm super on the fence on one of these. I have an Vintage Icon V6 distressed that I've been thinking about putting a Oripure 13k or 16k alnico 5 and a push pull on it. I'm looking at these and they seem pretty decent. Just don't know if I can justify it to my wife. These don't seem like the best of the best, but very nice. I'm tied between Oripure or wilkinson. The Wilkinson rail is ceramic though and only 16k available. I'm at a crossroads. Fender deluxe drive sss set is also an option. But, I tedont enjoy buying fender.
Just me, I have took a S.D. hot rails out of my bridge, was too hot nearly 17k and too overpowering for single coils in the mid and neck. I like them 10k-12k, easier too match the sound.
Would paralel wiring make those pickups sound similar to Dimarzio HS3 (Yngwie)? I saw one guy did it with similar Donlis pickups, and it worked really fine.
Have you tried just the sss oripure pickups? I'm building a Squire don't know what I want in it because the sss or the pickups like those. I'm playing blues rock
David I was unsure as well, but the dynamic difference is relative... Depends do you want to stay vintage or do you want to modernize and kick the mule.. Im lookink for both somewhat. Going to drop a rail in the bridge and see how it balances with the mid and neck. Other wise i think the Op has the right HHH config.. The SSS runs lower in output.. And of course you wont really be staying squire or fender vintage.. If i can find a middle ground the the rail will do, other wise It might be time to go full on axe mod.. The Ops take quite nicely rigid..
Well if it was a USA Fender I'd leave it alone but mine is a cheap Squire so I don't feel bad of a mod or two! Also just did a build on a Vesture strat style. Changed the hardware but just traded for a Vintage Squire Telecaster with the factory SSH with the 5 way switch. It's sweet the only thing I'm changing on that is to the Fender locking tuners and a bone nut. I may not even do that. That thing it sweet and a monster at the same time!!
@@rodiebobwilliams1330 Also the pickgaurd from Oripure has two rail pickups and has the 500k pots. Only cost 90 for the whole thing but it was on sale at the time. So I'm going to try that out!! Thanks
I bought 2 loaded pick guards and a set of humbucker s but I bought the zebra alnico 5 bridge and wired up just the one in a squIer and it really rocks for 25 that ones as nice as Duncan
That wiring configuration doesn't come with their standard prewired pickguard. That guitar had the pickups purchased separately and was custom wired into existing pickguard.
Hard to pick up different tones sitting there burning it up so much. Good picking though. I think we're here to show off our guitar playing not the Oripure.....
Exactly my thoughts the first time I heard it... but it's Chinese, so I guess it's to be expected. I bought the Oripure blade single-coil sized humbucker to replace the bridge single coil in my Eart SSS Strat. I have a push-push pot for the coil split but not sure if it's worth the trouble.
