I'm from Orlando. There's so much I could say, but to put it simply, my best advice for anyone wanting to know Orlando, is to realize it's so much more than the theme parks or even the touristy area around the theme parks. Like the video says, you have downtown Orlando, Winter Park, Winter Garden, Sanford, Wekiva Springs, Mills/50 and the Milk District, College Park, etc. Orlando has beautiful nature and beautiful neighborhoods worth checking out.

@@rand_-mk5lb it can feel overcrowded because it's growing very fast and infrastructure and housing is still catching up. Traffic is bad....but it used to be a lot worse. It's actually getting better with the ultimate I4 project. It's a car city for sure though. Compared to Atlanta, Houston, or Los Angeles, the traffic is nothing though.

How far would the closest beach be? And would you consider otlando being scenic/natural. Is not having the beach compensated by other outdoorsy/nature stuff.

@@hashh2019 closest beaches are less than an hour away...50 mins with regular traffic. And yes Orlandon is very scenic, it looks like thd deep south with old oak trees etc but it's fully of lakes and some tropical flavor with palm trees etc.

Heads up for anyone looking to explore downtown. The lodge or Tanquerays both have great happy hour specials from 4-7 and the later has live music after 10:30pm. Every night.

I’m from Orlando and I feel blessed to live here with all the theme parks nature and cool things to do. In icon park they just added the tallest drop tower and tallest sling shot. The competition between parks is amazing which is really cool because we get more and more rides getting build like ice breaker and iron gwazi that just opened up and tron at magic kingdom is still being build and vilocicaoster just opened up not too long ago.

I was just in Orlando 2 weekends ago, and I can't say you're wrong about conventions, they had Fanboy expo at Wyndham Orlando resort on international drive, it was great experience for me since it was actually my first comic con, meeting some of my favorite voice actors, but the point is I'm coming back to Orlando for fanboy expo 2022, if they have it, that is, btw I'm from Port St. Lucie Florida!

Clearwater i agree and orlando i agree. Miami is scary though. The skyscrapers over biscayne bay are nice from far but if you look closer and experience the real Miami its a very sinister scary city.

I like Orlando, but Miami Florida is way better just a different lifestyle way more things to do and see, Hallandale beach Florida is always another good place to go and experience is different.

Fun Fact: Disney World is actually split between a few cities, but people count it as Orlando since it is easier to say, and the entrance to Disney World is in Orlando.

@@arnarnie6844 shell, fun in the context that there is not pandemic lol, but yeah, it’s fun, at least if you know what to do, I mean, it really depends where you live, but in my personal experience, it’s fun, I mean every amusement park is 30 minutes from where I live, the airport is 15 minutes, downtown is also 30 minutes, so It really just depends where you live

the best thing I did was move from this city nothing to do lilt jobs, I live in Hallandale Beach Fl which is close to Miami and Hollywood Beach Fl the night life is great it's a lot of jobs that's available and paying good.

That’s unfortunate but you’re definitely right. When it comes to moving, will definitely consider Miami or Smashville over O-Town. As a single dude, love all the shorties walking around those two cities.

Chicago is more comparable to cities like LA, Miami, NYC, Philly, Dallas. Orlando is still a baby but you'd be shocked how much entertainment Orlando has to offer. Far more than Chicago. Orlando also has far more visitors than Chicago. Orlando has so many things to do you might not even be able to do everything it has to offer in an entire lifetime. Trust me don't underestimate orlando.

Orlando is a million times more beautiful than Vegas. Granted, Vegas is its own thing with the casinos, world class restaurants and entertainment etc...but in terms of living, Orlando is a million times better.
