Hi everyone - welcome to the start of a new Florida vlog series!
In this travel day vlog we check out of our airport hotel (Premier Inn in Crawley) before heading to Gatwick airport for our British Airways flight to Orlando Florida!
On arrival we pick up our rental car and head off to our hotel for the first 7 nights - Avanti Palms & Conference Center.
We then take a walk up International Drive before stopping for dinner at Chili's :)
So excited to share the rest of this amazing trip!

Oh! We stayed at the Avanti Palms several years ago and we had a wonderful time. The gently sloping pool was perfect for our little girl. We would love to go on the Mardi Gras one day. Some of our relatives went a few years ago and had a wonderful time.

We had no issues at all with the hotel, especially considering the low price. The pool area is so lovely! Being on the Mardi Gras was so much fun, definitely recommend it. Thanks for watching!

So glad your vlogs have started. I feel like I’m there with you right now! The Avanti Palms looks WAY better than it did years ago before the makeover. I can’t explain to you what it was like when we last visited (must have been about 2008/2009) but in one word…NASTY!!! It definitely needed to be taken over but looks great now 👍

Yeah we've heard it was a bit of a mess before the refurbishment, absolutely no complaints from us though, it was a really great hotel for the money 👍🏻🤩 thanks for watching! 😊

What a smooth travel day , we always have a pre travel day hotel as it’s part of our enjoyment and stat of holiday . That hotel room for the price you paid is outstanding and like you said plenty of room for activities , hope you didn’t try to make bunk beds 😂 if you know you know . Car was nice and also we always do a shop no matter what country we’re in as we love seeking and trying different snacks drinks etc , cheers good to see you both

sounds like a great travel day, no issues. New to your channel and subbed. I do like Chili's, just moved to Orlando a few months ago from NY and loving it so far. Have a great trip...and a cruise too boot. Ohh where in the West Midlands, originally from Wolverhampton. Love the accent, reminds me of home.

Travel days are my favourite ❤ I'm trying to convince my hubby to stay at a hotel the night before but as our flight isn't until 2.30 so he's reluctant to spend the extra, please help me convince him. 😂😂😂 We're also from the Midlands so loved the friendly, warm accent ❤

It took us 5/5.5 hours to drive to Gatwick due to traffic instead of the usual 3/3.5... if we hadn't have stayed over the night before then we might have missed the flight... hopefully that's enough to convince your hubby! 😂👍🏻 thankyou for watching 😊😊

We stayed at that premier inn before we flew BA to Orlando at Christmas and did the valet parking - perfect isn’t it?! We’re doing exactly the same when we go this summer!

It was our first time at that Premier Inn but we'll stay again, it's very convenient. And we LOVE valet, nothing better when you get home than just crossing the road and getting straight in your car 😊 thanks for watching!

Try the gulf coast for visit, st pete beach treasure island up to Clearwater, been going for over 35 years, so relaxing, enjoy your trip

Loved your travel day! We’re going in Sept and staying at same hotel. Was there a reason you asked for the tower block? Just curious because some of the reviews of the hotel haven’t been great, so i’m nervous! 😬 looking forward to the rest of the vlogs!

I'm certain the tower rooms are larger, but mainly it was just because we always like a high floor 😊 considering the price, we had nothing to complain about! Comfy, cheap, clean, it was fine. Actually had lots more amenities than expected and a lovely pool area too! Thanks for watching 😊

Can I ask, if you don’t mind. How much on average, less spending money, does each Florida trip cost you? Talking hotel, car, tickets and flights? Thanks

Hi 👋🏻 there's really no average price because Florida can be done so many different ways. On this occasion we used mostly airmiles for the flights, already had our Universal tickets (annual passes), and then the hotel cost about £600 for the week. But it's completely different every time 😊
