Cool! Thank you. Best I've seen about hamcation 24. Not new to radio but I am kinda going back to my ham days from 44 years ago. I'm a yaesu man. I don't do expensive rigs.. yet! I just guessed that nice yaesu was a 101. Yep! My ft-dx3000 was researched for months and came from martin lynch in England. Brand new but sold as used. Love it! 73s M7XNR

I was there Saturday. Seems about the same as last year, but a little bit fewer swaps folks. Weather was perfect this year (rained last year).

Thank you for the great video. Are you going to the Dayton Hamvention? And yes, I listen to WRMI shortwave.

I always wanted to go to Hamvention but the allure of warm weather in February is too much, and the budget is tight to swing both in the same year. One year I will have to make it happen. I really enjoy WRMI thats why I dropped that comment in the video in support of shortwave . Thanks for watching and commenting. 73

I met Jeff White at a shortwave radio meeting in 1978, in Montreal, ANARC 78.

Thanks for the video but try to get some sort of stabilization for next time as it gets to hard to watch after a few minutes with it jumping around so much. Good coverage though and thanks!

I appreciate the feedback and you’re not the first to mention. These types of videos are not my typical so I’m in uncharted territory but I agree, I must invest in some stabilizing . 73 and thanks for watching .

I have an ICOM R-6 wideband receiver, great radio though the modes are a bit dated.
@hamradioonthego

That receiver was tempting but my transceivers double as shortwave receivers. 73

@@hamradioonthego I know what you mean. It's just a wideband receiver, modelled after the ICOM Q7A, a dual band radio with wideband that was produced years ago. Though it is slightly outdated now, it still picks up quite a bit today. My other wideband is a Retekess TR110, a Chinese DSP that covers 153 khz to 520 MHz with all modes. It costs about $100. The Retekess is less sensitive than the ICOM, yet better on MW/AM and FM broadcast band. Wishing you and your family all the best in life in the future. And lots of DX.

I was also gone by Sunday so I can’t attest to how it was on Sunday. That was my second hamcation. I’m assuming you have gone to more. What has declined in your opinion? Thanks for the comment and 73
