Pulse shield is underrated in my opinion. People that use it initially think that they HAVE to stay in the bubble to use it properly. But the way to use it is as temporary one-way cover, if you consistently position yourself to keep the bubble between you and your opponent you can shoot him but he can't shoot you.
@@stevenluoma1268well I guess I’d say that’s viable but in all honestly if you can “run away” from a stationary sheild id say the person who popped it is just plain wasting it. You’re supposed to use it in the heat of the moment like most do with assault armor however you’ve gotta put some thought into it or else anyone could absolutely just stay away from that area making it not only ineffective but a waste too.
Yeah but any player with half a brain will see it and just nope out. They can wait it out extremely easily. At least with pulse armor it resets your stagger and you can try to close the gap while it is up.
Guys, if you consider using bullet orbits, make sure you cancel them just before they overheat. the cool down is much quicker and you can also reactivate them still at anytime if you need to. The overheat cool down time is such a long time so try and prevent this, otherwise, if you let them overheat fully, it is a massive DPS loss.
Well he dies ALOT too you just don’t see that much of it from his content. Not saying he’s not good at the game just that he’s human too and I’m positive he probably has his bad fights too lol
@@ACatNamedOrwell yeah he is good but most of the time he is playing on hard mode with some of his builds , I've beaten him 2-0 back to back and the fights only lasted 15 seconds.
the guy at 8:20 has a legitimately really cool setup, kinda terrifying. feels like against any setup with less constant damage and stagger output theyd be a real menace, and even against this it was a serious threat
I feel like any build with a bit of range would outclass this mech. The Morley can be completely negated if you stay off the ground, and the container missles are easy to dodge. The laser rifle hits hard, but with only one it is easier to dodge.
@@afd1040 Basho head, Melander arms, Wrecker core, Dessert legs; Morley and double split missile back weapons, LRB and HMMR arm weapons. Internals are just guesses, but since he doesn't move around much I'd say the booster probably isn't super important to him. The generator is likely one of the Arquebus ADD ones (for buffing the LRB's monstrous damage output) and the ACS is likely either Ocellus or Abbot, as the Morley/HMMR prefer close-range.
While the laser dagger is nice, the machine gun stagger doesn't last as long as other staggersm so it's better to go with the pulse blade two hit combo. Cuz the Lazer dagger 3 hit takes too long
Machine guns deal really high direct hit damage anyways and are quite hard to dodge consistently, so I'd say its the right play to keep it simple. There are so many times I or someone else has tried to swap to a weapon for a stagger punish only to wiff and die in return. Not to mention that you would build stagger slower, and I think theres some significant breakpoints in this build you really want to meet (mainly getting the stagger before orbits go down, but also getting it while you have ammo in your guns).
It wouldn't help tbh, this is Oro's worst build for a few reasons, the wins in this video are very cherry picked. The meta is all about quick staggers followed by quick damage, think high damage and stagger weapons, missiles, laser swords, handguns, shotguns, and with the new patch bazookas and grenades. One bazooka shot temporarily knocks back the opponent and the follow up from whatever staggers them, and on a light AC with so little AP and lack of consistent, near instant stagger, a med to heavy weight build with said consistent methods of staggered piloted by a skilled pilot is a death sentence to this AC in the video. Also, light AC's, for the mobility they give you, are very vulnerable to damage, there were two fights near the end of this video vs some AC's with lasers, where Oro struggled vs both of them. The damage that the lasers did crippled his AC later in the fight cause he didn't have the consistent stagger of the weapons I mentioned above and took so much damage it got him killed in both and he lost one of the fights. Also light builds lose hard vs tanks, tanks have so much res to stagger, and getting up close to one with a minigun or bazooka is even worse. *TL:DR:* Light builds struggle hard due to a lack of AP and stagger res, and a light build like this without any large staggering weapons like bazookas will struggle further vs competent players
If you really wanna bump speed, the Firmenza bipeds have insane ground speed for lightweight builds. I have a similar build I call BULLET HELL that uses chainguns and double shoulder pulse cannons to just vomit out close ranged damage.
I can't speak for the Changs but when using dual Ludlows I've found I actually do ~20% more DPS using the HAL arms over Nach. While you lose firearms specialization the recoil reduction actually allows me to fire them both with perfect accuracy, with the added hits outweighing the slight increase in lock-on time. It matters less point-blank but becomes much more important when reaching into 100m or more where recoil dramatically increases miss-rate. It allows the Ludlows to perform well into medium range, which is nice since you can't also keep enemies in ideal range.
Your builds are so interesting and fun to watch. I aways wonder what it’s like to be on the other side of it though especially because you rarely losing is obviously not only because of your builds. I hope that we get to play someday
This is my first ever Armored core game and it was my game of the year in 2023. But what I love most is the community. Like everybody’s so chill and it’s nothing but “good fight” after a duel never any toxicity
Those nacht arms don't have near enough recoil management to handle those dual Chang-chens. Personally I think it's worth it to go to the wrecker arms so your shots stay focused. They have poor firearms spec sure, but between soft lock bonus and a close range focused FCS you should be fine keeping the crosshairs on target. Preventing bullet spread from holding down your triggers constantly seems like a bigger priority.
As close range as he's getting, I don't think its much of an issue. Plus the cost of even a little more weight drags the speed down quite a bit as its at that first thrust drop point. Its okay to miss a bit in exchange for the boost speed's ability to dodge most attacks.
HAL arms would be more effective at this idea than wrecker, however i dont think it matters so much bc of point blank combat range, and the rapid target reaquisition from nacht arms + ocellus covers you better vs opponents juking you
I can't believe it. It has ALL the parts i use for my "Devilman" AC. It's a complete replica minus the paint and the generator. Great minds think alike 😁
Well, yeah, probably, lightweights are kind of inherently similar due to the nature of their tight load limits. You don't have as many options to work with. That and there being only 2 truly lightweight frames in the form of Nacht and Firmeza, so you have to use at least some of their parts. There's actually more variety on the heavy ACs just because they have more parts to work with just because there are more heavyweight frames.
Tried this one out and it is really nice. Thank you for making these videos, it really helps keep me motivated to keep playing and experimenting with different builds. Keep em coming!
Pulse protection is underrated. It's a stronger Pulse Armor that's bigger and stays in place for 30 seconds. Enough time and space for repositioning and juggle energy recovery, but also block barages of missiles and spray. All this and you can shoot through it yourself if it's yours. Most builds need to get close to you, so dancing around it isn't unrealistic unless they use silly range like a missile boat.
I mean, if you yourself are not a missile boat they lose very little just bailing to a neutral reset (quick turn+AB). And worse, if they don't bail, there's a non-zero chance they took the risk and got in your face with a melee/shotgun/explosive/assault armor that can all ignore it. It's great for 3v3, opponents that have 0 patience, or stalling.
This is probably my favorite build. I made one with Melander C3 parts, the bullet orbits and machine guns for a super basic AC. I've replaced one of the guns with a pile bunker. Fun AC.
I made a comment a while ago how it would be nice to see a counter build beat you and you provided. That's awesome and makes your build videos even better! Thanks so much!
I'm a bit older in my years but have been playing armored core since it's debut. Im not as good as most at building, but some of your builds are awesome. Definitely gonna give this a try, shoot and move is my play style and this looks awesome.
Absolutely love 4 machinegun builds, I usually rock the ludlows and terminal armor but they can be a bit hit-or-miss. Never thought about switching out for the chang-chens and the pulse armor, I'll give it a try later.
Plasma thrower is actually quite underrated on light builds. If they get staggered and you hit with the 1st attack, they stay staggered for you to easily hit with the other. It extends the stagger just like a punch would.
build Idea for oro~ student of the owl (Sekiro inspired) -Lightweight -Use the DF-ET-09 TAI-YANG-SHOU for the fireworks shinobi tools -Use the MA-T-223 Kyoriku for the cheeky jamming to provoke sloppy attacks and impatience -Fast and Elusive playstyle with plenty of cheap tricks up your sleeve -Other weapons and internals are up to u! (the more shinobi-like the better)
i made a similar build right before the patchnotes and it was ok at first. i used the turner and shruder AS, pretty sure i got the names wrong but you know what im talking about, and the shell looking drone shoulders. it was a really fun but meh build. it took a really long time to get a kill. later, i realised the chinese LMGs were better in nearly everyway so i swapped with those. massive improvement. later, i found out that somehow the SMGs were better than them in almost everyway. once again, big improvement and was able to clear the 1v3 mission with ease. then the patchnotes came and now i got a boost speed of 352 despite not having any light frame parts. calcite rust, my beloved
lmao i was literally using this exact build the other night to do a ton of S ranks! its one of my favorite builds for mid-chapter bosses, honestly. Didnt know it was part of your arsenal, thats super cool!
More important than the weapons themselves is movement here. If you can move in a way that the opponent loses track of you, that's a HUGE advantage no matter what your weapons are.
been using a spin on this setup switching out for the vp-20c gen and firmeza arms and legs, gets you up to 391 speed and works pretty well in my experience
I’ve been running this build with slightly different body parts for a while it’s really effective but switching out the machine guns for the stun guns is way more effective I’m killing things with twice my hp in pvp in seconds
If you haven't yet, try using the shoulder-mounted pulse cannons. They don't do much for stun, but they shred barriers, have very good DPS, pretty good damage potential, low weight, and a moderate EN footprint with a sizable ammo reserve.
@@jhank0cean Tried them. They both have lower DPS and damage potential than the shoulder-mounted cannons. But the biggest benefit is that you can fire the shoulders at the same time as handheld weapons for stupid levels of burst damage. Dual gatling/pulse cannon is just ridiculous, but it does take some thought for heat management, they overheat after only 40 shots, which is still better damage than any of the MG's or AR's.
I have a similar build with dual gatling guns, and plasma missiles (orbital and direct). 8500 AP and 370 speed. Fast, high AP, staggering and high DPS. Its great!
One of my pvp build is here once again. Bet oro will have bazooka with blade and laser orbit build next. He plays better than me though, awesome videos as always.
Hokushi getting a minor buff and people reappraising it as a legitimate choice feels good as a pre-patch Hokushi enjoyer, the people dont know how good Energy Efficiency really is
I fought this build a few times yesterday, and I got to say it is formidable, but I beat it with my BB1. An AC I build that's similar to the Bumble Bee with a few modifications of my own.
Gonna have to ask you for those color codes, because I've been meaning to mix some very similar ones for a build of mine, and that orange especially looks delightful.
This dude is good man. Hes winning with every build. That ninja one surprised me i thought he'd get whooped. The missile boat was too funny. Dont see why people get so angry fighting it
Before I even watched this build video I made almost this exact build the other day and it definitely sheds. Dual lazer pistols and dual lazer orbits will melt this build tho with the right generator
Been looking for a lightweight build that crushes. This one is nuts. I would choose Firmeza parts since it allows more options and is only slightly heavier.
I have basically this setup using the encano AC. Super cheese mode. You need to strafe more and try to only close distance while jumping slightly at an angle. You end up literally jumping over their shots.
I use this same build with the differences only being that I use the rensetsu rifles with the fcs that has high medium and long ranges and I use a vpd-c generator and allulas just use my speed to dodge projectiles and just lay it on thick w the bullets from afar
I dont know how effective this really is but since I started playing AC6 I have NEVER went off my all melander frame. If i need to carry heavier equipment I just switch off of C3 legs to the standard one. I never knew how effective the melander parts are since no one has done a video on them but I just thought they were the medium weight ac parts
He's using a very similar build to one I came up with not too long ago. I found switching out the drones every so often to prevent overheating is the best thing to do. So you have that constant pressure like you're saying
