ORTC: Inculcating sustainable farming with modern approach among Tibetans in exile

Organic Research and Training Centre (ORTC): Many Tibetan settlements in India engage in farming and animal husbandry. The Central Tibetan Administration has established the Organic Research and Training Centre (ORTC), an agricultural research center in Bylakuppe to assist Tibetans in sustainable agriculture. This center teaches sustainable farming and animal husbandry methods, combining scientific approaches with traditional Indigenous and organic practices that remain relevant today. We sat down with Tsewang Norbu, the director of ORTC, to learn more about the institution.
