I had one of the first stalk pullers here in south Texas in the early 90ds . Now everybody has one. I’m now retired. Farmed Milo, cotton, Soybeans and corn, here on the black lands os south Texas.
A corn plucker! No disrespect...it does a heck of a job. Farming is hard work...it was 40 years ago when I used to help my uncles. A Deere A, an 8N...and the other, a 1946 "H"...steel wheel wagons, hammer mills, 1950s Allis round bailer, a Thrashing Machine. I worked like it was WWII in the late 70s and early 80s.
Nice setup man and 14 mph that's gettin'er done that's for sure but you stay safe and we will see you on another one I'm new to the channel but good stuff man💪💪👍👍👍👊👊
Bought one at an auction for 500 bucks years ago. Traded to a neighbor. Wish I'd run it some. Didn't have auto steer back then. RTK and this thing are probably the heat in cotton
Great Video... Like Keith below, this is the first time I've heard of or seen a Root Baller before... This type of Pre-Planting style of field work is something new for me too see... I am curious tho.....Do y'all encounter any problems with seed emergence, yield or anything whatsoever with continuously planting your seed in the same exact rows every year...I was thinking in the beginning when you stated that y'all never do Conventional till on your crop land that you prolly offset your rows 15 inches every year to get the new seed away from the previous years corn rows... And does that always lead to major soil compaction since the tire tracks from the tractors always travel the same path year after year... Thanx for sharing...
You should show how are your stacker planter folds up, I get the question all the time (I run a Case IH 1230 stacker). I think for people that never seen one before it can be kind of neat, just a thought! Once again another great video!!!
Just started watching your videos and I was wondering how many acres y’all tend? I’m a blueberry farmer in south Ga. tell your friends to eat more berries!! Lol
Is that planter heavy on the backside on the tractor? Interested in upgrading and would be interested looking into a planter like yours just afraid that it might be too much weight on the rear.
alex brown it’s a little heavy but having tanks in the front you don’t even notice it and that tractor don’t have many weights either! Even when the other tractor a full rack of weights and it holds it done just fine
