The amount of time you have braces on depends on the severity of your teeth. It usually takes about 1-2 years for children and teenagers but I am unsure about adults. It also depends on what kind of braces you have and I guess how strong the braces are. I have a few gaps and overlapping teeth and my orthodontist said that I should have them for approximately 2 years it’s been a few months and I’ve already seen progress so I hope I get them off sooner. I did not need to pay for braces as the NHS provided for me, I live in England so I guess if your teeth are bad enough then you get them for free, but only if you’re under 18 or 16 I can’t remember.
@@geoisreallycool haha I’ve recently had to get the expander and headgear as well. I have to wear my headgear all day and night for the next two years😭😭. I hate it so much
@@ednaa haha yeah I can only take it off to eat, but other than that I have to wear it all day. It can be a nightmare wearing it to school😭 I’ve been called many names lol
I currently have a transpalatal arch with bands and it doesn't do anything to my teeth because it's supposed to hold the teeth in place when i get braces, but i cannot get braces because of covid-19!!!
At 00:55 how the back teeth went up and covered the gap? Its just animation or really happens? I had overbite so after correction i have the same gap at back as shown
I got my bottom braces on Halloween 2019, and my top braces on 1/9/2020. I think the thing I feared most was the stupid power chain which hurts like hell for 2 days straight, and you have to rely on your molars for chewing everything.
Does anybody here tried undergoing the procedure in 7:01 bc i have the same situation with my teeth and am planning to get braces soon.... and that shit looks painful 💀 they’re literally digging through ur gums 😭
@@isabelye1051 yeah they r I watched this vid like months ago and asked my dentist like was he gonna be digging holes in my gums to fill those screws Plz dont do tht I can live without perfect teeth And he was like no we wont do tht I got my first power chain today Its so bad I mean not bad as tht screw thing but the pain is really bad
These are just videos just animation, when I go to the dentist most of these treatments are impossible to them!!!!! Or is it just not good in here I am in London
If u r gonna get the adjuster shown at 5:33 U r lucky man Cuz i am pretty sure tht permanent braces r way worse I mean my friend got those ones and i have the permanent ones so yeah All the best
I had moderate deformation in position of my teeth, and had braces for 2.5 years. After the removal, dentist didn't gave me any retainer and 2-3 weeks later my teeth were deformed again. I think that the dentist didn't had any experience with braces. After watching this video, I can say that many different techniques had to be applied on me, but that stupid dentist just used braces and rubber bands. I thinking about having braces after doing a proper research about which dentist is the best. No matter if I have to drive even an hour or two for an monthly or bimonthly appointment.
Zachary Yassir Gonzalez no its because he didnt have a retainer to keep the teeth in shape and they shifted back to where they were naturally, as well as not having the right appliances used. mewing can have some benefits but cannot fix everything to do with the mouth and jaw
So... what on earth happened at 2:34? I heard that when the tongue lies in a wrong position, the face can deform/ look different than normal. But what exactly made her face change back to "normal"??
Same and they are okay now but the first week was so bad. I only ate soup and mash before I couldn’t chew and I didn’t sleep the first night because it was painful. I’m okay with them now but it’s annoying when food gets stuck
today I got my Nance appliance and next appointment is for UBR, i don't know if it means braces. if anyone has any idea what UBR actually means then do tell me
Some of these techniques are primitive and savage. Try Carriere Motion Class II and III, you can get a CI in 3 to 4 months. You avoid traumatic treatments and save time!
Katie.Redmond Twin Blocks change the posture of your bottom jaw so it moves forward to fix a overbite (Where your top jaw is too far forward and your bottom jaw is too far back)
Thatoneweirdo thanks, yeah I know what they do, but I would love a video to actually explain what they do. I’m pretty nervous about getting them because they’re for younger children. I’m 14, and don’t really want to be wearing them at school
I have brackets, bands, bite blocks, headgear, the expander with a key, the herbst, and tad’s (8) and i am getting 4 more for my MARPE and i have powerchain and elastic’s
At 3:14 is shown one of the hardest technique ever,I kept them for a year and almost lost the sense of taste due to the damage of my tounge. One of the scars was so deep that it didn't even recover...
it's also one of the most common appliances that you have to put on... for me my tongue hurt from time to time but eventually it got better, so if anyone has to get it on don't worry too much
souleymane ba it doesn't really hurt after putting the braces on. But after 2-3 hours you can slightly feel the pressure / pain on your teeth . And the pain will last for like 2-3days or maybe a week.
It is hell, especially the power chain, but somehow we manage to find a way to survive by living on painkillers once a month or so. You kinda get used to these medieval torture device looking things.
