I would love to have this man as my Dr . He seems genuinely kind. Super smart And he has a great sense of humor . I wish that there were more dentists/orthodontists like him. I feel like a lot more people who are scared would feel a little more at ease.

As someone who already removed their wisdom teeth. I highly recommend local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia. General anesthesia is not necessary and has so much risk to it. My dentist is quite expensive but he did an excellent job. Removed 4 of my wisdom teeth and a cyst that I had in my jaw! Keep in mind when I said he’s an excellent dentist I actually meant it, because he was able to noticed something unusual in my jaw when he did an x ray, afterwards he told me to get a cat scan. Which I did, and about 4 weeks later he removed my wisdom teeth and removed the thing that was in my jaw within 15 minutes or less, and trust me I was anxious the night before and the day of!!! I highly recommend those to get local anesthesia. My mouth was hurting the next day because of the cyst but not cause of the wisdom teeth. And the day after that I was ready to eat solid food! Good luck to those who are about to removed them!

I had my two upper wisdom tooth removed when I was 24, just right before moving to Brazil. I was in Argentina. I call the insurance, talk about what I wanted to do, went to the dental emergency service. It's was all so fast, no sedation, just local anesthesia, I felt the whole thing without feeling any pain. Aaaannnd nobody closed anything, so I just had to wait until everything were closed for good. No infections, nothing. I took the bus back to my home. I went alone, it was smooth😂❤

The best one I saw was when the mom had her husband driving and all.their kids were in the back of the van and she didn't know half them and thought they actually kidnapped one. Poor kid was devastated. 😂

Hi Bentist, recently just got braces and found your channel. I'm super scared to break my braces so I watch your tutorials and reactions to get Info, and currently, I'm fine. After every meal I rinse and wash my braces to make sure my teeth and Braces are clean, also get checked by my mum every day, the pain of chewing is awful and I really want to get my braces removed- but your videos always help me feel better about myself.

These videos are making me terrified of probably needing to get my wisdom teeth out some day, hopefully my shyness will stay afterwards so I don't say weird stuff 😭

When I was around 6 I had to go under medication because my arm was broken. They had sponge bob on and I said “well good luck trying to get me to fall asleep with SpongeBob on” 💀

I remember being really confused about the back gums being all itchy. I licked them quite a bit tbh. It was 4 years ago, when I was 18. I looked in my mouth almost every day as well. When I was finally able to get the dentist's appointment, he looked in my mouth, made a really confused face and said the weirdest complement i have ever heard: "You have the most perfectly peeked wisdom teeth I have ever seen". At least I'm not getting the bonus appointments for wisdom teeth removal lmao

I had two wisdoms removed, I wasn’t instructed to squirt salt water there. So far I’ve not had dry socket. I just tilted my head gently back and forth with salt water very gently

Why is this type of anesthesia used in the United States? In Norway, it is very unusual to be drugged like this to extract wisdom teeth. I have had three wisdom teeth removed using only local anaesthetic. No pain, no discomfort. I drove myself to the dentist, and drove home afterwards.

One time I was getting teeth removed but not wisdom teeth but then I heard someone yell “ima flipen’ unicorn!” And they had a laughing gas tube that they moved onto their four head and that was a beautiful unicorn I saw that day😂

I’m 16 and I just had mine out a few months ago. They numbed me, I didn’t go to sleep. Took about 20 minutes start to finish, and my mom took me home. I was scared to be put under and since mine weren’t impacted, the dentist said I didn’t need to be.

To everyone out there panicking about wisdom teeth, let me tell you, it's actually not too bad. I still have my wisdom teeth, but when I was nine, I had three impacted teeth that had to be surgically removed in the same type of procedure as wisdom teeth. They basically went in, broke the tooth off my jaw, cleaned it and stitched it up, viola. Most cases of wisdom teeth removals are pretty standard and not as bad as mine, and I'd say the biggest kicker is resting and keeping on top of pain killers, but stay active, always do as the dentist tells you, and you'll be healed before you know it.

I think it's so funny when you guys have wisdom teeth removals, I wish I would've gotten the good stuff but in my country it's either be wide awake or completely knocked out and intubated. I chose the second option because they took all 4 out but I wasn't out of it, I just woke up, told everybody I dreamed of chinchillas 😅 and was kicked out an hour later because I was the last patient of the day and they wanted to go home. I did not get any antibiotics or mouthwash and on day 3 developed a nasty infection, I mean necrosis ! I now know what dead flesh tastes like 🤢 but at least I didn't have complications pain wise 😅

I had my wisdom tooth remove at 17. But there is a reason, I had a surgery (putting my jaw back in her place) so they take them off at the same time because I was one month away from turning 18 so yeah no more anaesthesia and I’m happy with that (the medicine always make me sick…)

The only thing that happened when I got my wisdom teeth removed that was kind of funny was my then boyfriend now husband asked me if there was gauze in my mouth and I responded “why would I have gauze in my mouth” while my mouth was full of gauze 😂

Is this strong anaesthetic an american thing? Got my 4 teeth removed in Europe, got just a local anaesthetic like for a cavity removal, couldn't feel the side of the fac but it was just that. No weird completely stoned vibes nor passing out.

the first time i went in to get a impacted wisdom tooth out i thought i would be acting like these people and was nervous because my thoughts are not safe for the world and i thought i would wake up and then suddenly blurt out something weird but i just had a caine type pain stopper and right before they started it wasn't numb anymore so i had them put some more in and then as they started yanking that tooth i could feel the pressure getting heavier and heavier until it came out apparently right as they started pulling it the meds started to stop working as i could feel as they yanked on that tooth

I take care of my teeth for one reason: i don't want to get high on meds and spill all my secrets in front of my parents 😂

I already had surgery for a tooth that wasn’t growing so now I’m not scared to get them out😊

I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 40 (orthodontist recommended) and they were fully erupted. Nobody knocked me out for it. I was fully awake, and the dentist told me to pull away from him while he pulled the teeth so he could have an easier time getting them out. On the one hand, I’m glad I didn’t have to have surgery. But on the other hand, these guys look like they’re having the best time, and I did not have a good time when they pulled my teeth. 😅

I did a laughing gas so I was sort of conscious during mine. At first I was cackling to myself when I first was introduced to the gas. And I started thinking about my cat who just got diagnosed with megacolon and I started crying about it. I had to explain to the nurse and doc why I was crying and I had explain because I my cat needed medicine to poop and I was sad because he's a good cat. I also kept saying ow because I heard them breaking my teeth even though it didn't hurt, but it sounded like it should hurt. They wouldn't let me keep my teeth because they broke them up and I got upset because they said I could keep them. So very emotional day for me.

Ok, time to come clean, I’ve actually cut out, 2 flaps manually. Yes, i don’t recommend it, and it hurt, but in my defence it did help

I got my wisdom teeth removed at 20 and my exact reaction under anesthesia was “I hope bumblebee and Tiny bond!” Bumblebee is my male Flemish giant, who lost his partner/half-sister are a few weeks before and I wanted to bond the two of them at the time. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to.

Watching this makes me see how different cultures are. You guys in North America will always go for full anesthesia to sleep the patients, while here in Colombia (and maybe other South American countries) the patients will only get local anesthesia that will numb the gum, but we feel all the procedure and we can see and hear everything as it happens. Not saying is a bad thing, but I can see how strong we can be

My son just had his done and I wish he was like this. He was quite, and so messed up I was freaking out as a mom! We had a hard time getting him to just drink water to keep him hydrated. He was better the next day after a very hard night and him vomiting blood on the floor after swallowing so much of it. I was never so glad to have my mother in law here to help! Don't know if I would have made it.

I got my two top wisdom teeth removed two months before my 18th birthday. They were tiny compared to my other teeth and we're soft like they didn't have enamel and we're underdeveloped. My jaw also started popping and clicking a month or so after the surgery and I can still pop my jaw(it's not painful just weird to other people when I pop it in public)and I got my wisdom teeth out January of 2007 so I'm wondering if since I've always had a small head and jaw that the surgeon may have had to dislocate my jaw to get in my mouth properly. Also for a month after I couldn't open my jaw very far at all and has to cut up any food I ate into tiny pieces

I am to be seen by an oral surgeon in February but I wanted to know how hard it is to remove a decayed partial wisdom tooth and one with a gum flap? I was thinking about using my 1 week vacation off work for the surgery or is that too excessive for teeth extraction?
