I don't want to give the impression that you need stuff / Orthodoxy is some materialistic venture. I just thought it would be cool to show what my room looks like since I LITERALLY used to own nothing haha. God bless! Btw I moved so you are gonna see a new set up in my newly filmed videos ♥ Follow me on Twitter: twitter.com/OrthodoxKyle 🐦
What a very expansive room. Honestly, I wish I was as dedicated of a reader similar to Kyle. That extensive library of books is amazing. God bless you, Kyle.

Im actually been thinking about getting rid of a lot of stuff recently to have it more focus on Christ, and also just efficiency, and this gives me some ideas on how exactly I can do that. Thank you brother 🙏🏼

I’m kinda the opposite of minimalist. I love art and history so my room is stacked with books. I kinda got a personal library. I really am looking forward to getting some more icons for my wall. I currently got a mini Jesus icon next to my tv and the Theotokos next to my PC.
I’ve been praying for the will to purge our home of at least 80% of our possessions. So much “stuff” that does nothing but fill space. Easier to keep a house clean when you everything you own has a purpose and a reason to be there.
Used to have that exact same fan! Lasted for years and was so good then the rotation part broke. Where did you get the church fathers book set? And what’s that MASSIVE bright red book on your Jay Dyer shelf?
1. Awesome, I love the fan 2. I got Church Father set from Ebay from Individual Seller "MASSIVE bright red book on your Jay Dyer shelf?" You will never guess the name.... It is called the Red Book hahah jaysanalysis.com/product/the-red-book-essays-on-theology-philosophy-new-jay-dyer-book/ The Red Book: Essays on Theology & Philosophy - NEW Jay Dyer Book!
Nice room mr. Kyle !! Be aware of the new identity cards everyone! Our Saints warned us about them! I wish the Grace of our Lord Christ give you strength !! ☦♥
The sad thing is that I used to work in publishing and have all the skills needed to help produce and print a new set of the Church Fathers, but a full 38 volume set would be $$$ (probably 1400 bucks for hardcover if you could sell a 100 sets). A paperback version would be around 600 a set at that volume, but few people would want to drop 600 for paperbacks.
I Started my Orthodox Library Too. Right Now, I'm Reading Orthodox Christianity Volume One, Orthodox Christianity Volume Two, And Saint Ignatius's Second, Century Letters. I don't have The Orthodox Study Bible though, I may Get One, But I Prefer The EV. I know John Whiteford doesn't like The ESV, I Like The Way It's Written, Because It Has A First Century Perspective.
Those lamps on the setup are very dangerous for your eye and sleep health,You should keep them a bit far from each other but in a way that the lighting is not reduced that much.
I've noticed you do not have a mouse pad. I know from functional stand point they aren't needed anymore but it still feels better and is more gentle to your mouse's pads. you should consider one
Brother kyle. So i want to he orthodox Christian but none of my family will let me go to an Orthodox church and they didnt even know it was a thing until i taught them but i feel God is leading me there. I live in the same state as you and id really like to know what churches you recommend here
hey kyle i want to become an orthodox social influencer, to help people dealing with negativity and doubts but there will always be skeptics who'd demand for a debate. can i be part of the orthodox social influencer circle even i'm small? you're one of the major people who helped me get on orthodoxy and a role model for me.
The goal should not be to be "orthodox social influencer". I did not set out to do that.. I started making videos because I did a bunch of research and just wanted to share it with other, since I feel it would be disservice to DO all that research and then just keep it to myself.... Seek first the kingdom of God! Put God first... Help the needs of your LOCAL Church, of your friends, your family, school. job etc etc. I have all that in order and just do this on the side.. and obviously consult your Priest / be careful when teaching others.... So focus on improving yourself, IRL obligations, and you can start to learn how to edit videos / edit Existing Orthodox RU-vidrs (watch my video How to Make RU-vid videos), that can be good practice. "dealing with negativity and doubts" That can be good, but just be very careful, you should wait until you a little bit older.... You can practice making videos, editing, preparing speeches but again focus on IRL , your salvation before doing that. Reach out if you have questions. God bless!
Hey Kyle! Been watching your videos because I am starting my conversion to Eastern Orthodoxy, and I’ve found your videos very educational and helpful for my journey. I was wondering if you think it would be ok for me to use my rosary as my prayer rope? My particular rosary has sentimental value to me and I would love to bring it to my new real faith and worship. Thoughts?
Awesome! do you have a Church? orthodoxyinamerica.org/ Yes, just use the Rosary beads and do the Jesus prayer: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_GOK_tAxYX8.htmlsi=JKwGduRM91puSFR2 God bless and reach out if you have questions!
@@OrthodoxKyle yes I am an inquirer at the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Charleston WV. It’s an hour and a half drive for me, but it’s the closest church haha.
My room looks minimalist besides my TV. But. But in my drawers I have loads of cables and wires because I do Tech work for a living/hobby. My closest has a vr I don’t even use. 😢 I should probably sell it but at the same time I don’t. In conclusion I need to figure my crap out
Hi Kyle, Im about to start a spanish orthodox, manhood, health related channel (at least thinking about it everyday) , but my phone sucks for video, so I'm thinking on a sony a6100 or buying a good iphone... seems both end up around the same in cost.. but is a big investment. Any advice on this?
Orthodox essentials: Orthodoxy Study Bible (Includes commentary and prayers) The Prologue of Ohrid (The lives of the Saints) Prayer Book Icon of Christ Icon of the Virgin Mary Icon of Patron Saint/Guardian Angel Crucifix Cross to wear Incense Incense Burner Chrism (holy oil) Holy Water (to drink/bless things) Prayer Rope (small or large)
I wouldn’t call me the most simplistic style 😂 primarily because my house is super small (4 person small house). The majority of my room is prayer books, bibles, and LEGO because I build a lot of LEGO. Your room though is super cool. I usually just sleep on the floor 😅
At 8:45 you say you have a bat for home defense, would you say it would be acceptable for Orthodox Christians to keep guns (where we are allowed to have one like the US) or stick to potentially less destructive means of home defense?
how do i get rid of old school stuff (Swim posters, ribbons, award plaques) part of me wants to save it for the memories but I also want to minimalist. Any advice?
You don't need to get rid of it? watch this video: old but relevant ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SxNXZzIG_LM.htmlsi=RYLjlMpWbnjkAqS6 Basically put them in a box put the box somewhere out of sight for 2 weeks DO you think about those? do they matter? go through a test period to see if you want / need them or not! GOd bless!
