People from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds find their way into Orthodox Christianity and feel a sense of home at Saint Sophia Cathedral in Los Angeles, where they can continue the process of becoming Orthodox on Purpose.
I am Irish, British, Dutch, German, and Scandinavian. I am Orthodox. It's the truth, it's the gospel, and it's not just for Russians and Greeks. It's for Russians, Greeks, and everyone.
Yes indeed. That is why at the Nicene creed (I believe in one God prayer) it mentions ....and in one Holy catholic and apostolic church. The word catholic means universal and apostolic means handed down by the Apostles. So the Orthodox church is God's universal church for all people.
Some time ago, as I was reading the book of Acts, I said to myself, if that church should by some miracle actually exist, I will quit whatever church I belong to at the time and join that church! I am so greatful that I found it! I actually found it! And I tell my wife over and over again, "I LOVE this church." I really do.
Lovely video! I love the Orthodox Church (almost 23 years now) at St. Spyridon in Loveland Colorado. We are EVERYTHING! A true melting pot of ethnicities from every continent. We are also Orthodox on Purpose!
It is nice to see such diversity in the Orthodox Church. How refreshing to see that it's not only for some ethnic groups. I'm a Catholic, but like a lot about the Orthodox Churches and would attend a Eastern Rite Catholic parish if there was one available.

I am only now seeing this video. And i decided to look at the link you posted. I just learned things i never knew before.. no wonder the Romanians and Russians at our churches are so happy to be Orthodox.. as are the Greeks.. i was blessed to venerate the relics of St. Alexander Nevsky in St. Petersburg, and to stand for years in the choir at our parish church near the icon of St. Alexander Nevsky in the iconostasis, but I have never known until now why the battle he won was so important.. Thank you. ☦️📿☦️
