No problem. i was wondering this because how easily the engines actually start that too without a starter. In india here where i fly, folks rarely use nitro, only castor and methanol. They take time start even with a starter and i have always blamed no nitromethane in the fuel for that.
I am pretty certain it was either 10% OR 5% nitro back then. I have MANY newer videos where I use 5% or FAI (0%). FAI fuel starts just as easily with an electric starter. because of back problems, I am no longer able or supposed to start engines by hand.
oh i understand. Anyway, i was going through your videos. really love your content. I wish we had so many engine options here :) i have a question for you, whenever i hand launch a small plane with a 15 size engine, it cuts off, probably because fuel pushes back from the carburetor . Any suggestion?
I would not think that a hand launch would cause the engine to die. The fuel cluck is at the rear of the fuel tank and the fuel in the line is being fed by slight pressure from the exhaust. There is something else happening there. But , of course, I do not hand launch airplanes either so my experience there is very limited.
