Even in the knock down rounds Vergil won the rest of the rounds,never was hurt like sergi was, not to mention sergi was the bigger guy and was the only one that was hurt in multiple rounds!!! If there’s a rematch Vergil stops him if he listens to his corner and uses the jab more because in the rounds he used his jab he made sergi do the stanky leg every time!!! He only made the fight harder when he was trying to land big shots and not using the jab!!!

A bunch of casuals in the comment section. Ortiz was controlling most of the fight and landed way more power punches. He wasn’t even hurt when he was knocked down. It was close but Ortiz definitely won
You obviously didn't watch the fight. What an absurd statement. Ortiz was SOUNDLY outboxed. Bohachucks jab couldn't miss. He landed far more cleaner shots. Snapping Vergil's head back in every round. Vergil's body language was awful. His accuracy was non existent. Robbery of the year.
Ortiz won. One of the called knockdowns was dominated immediately by Vergil to include hurting the Ukrainian for the remainder of the round. 10-9 at best cannot be 10-8 because Ortiz won everything but the called knockdown .

Bohachuk wasn’t the fighter they wanted to beat him, but he’s about to catch an L. He was to 147, what David was to 168, but now that he’s fighting guys his size, it mirrors both David’s recent performances.

I agree. I did not feel Ortiz won that fight. It’s funny when Ortiz did the Mayweather impersonation the announcers called it boxing. When Mayweather did they said he was running when Shakur does it they say he’s boring. Bohachuk should have gotten at worst a draw at best a win last night. Sad double standard Mexican style would have gotten Ortiz knocked out last night.
I had it a clear draw and I rarely give draws. Vergil won 8 rounds and Bohachuck won 2 KD rounds (10-8) and 2 regular rounds. Anyway fight of the year!

If the knock downs aren’t overturned it’s a 10-8 round. Only a knockdown the other way around, in that round, can change it. Knockdowns are a big deal and a changing factor in the fight game.
Best punch of the night Charles Conwell, Ortiz swung and missed to many times. Borachuk glazed Virgil as Virgil slipped twice for knock downs. Over-all Virgil kept missing at times Borachuck was hurt. Without the slipped knockdowns Ortiz dished out more and a decision would have been conclusive. Borachuk vs. Crawford or Conwell would be a fan favorite.
I had Vergil 8-4 he outlanded his opponent 8-9 rounds out of the 12 he out boxed and hurt him in multiple rounds the 2 knock down rounds I’m sure atleast one went to a 10-9 because Vergil was straight beating him and hurting him to the body just cuz it’s a knock down don’t mean it’s a 10-8 it was a 10-9 round. Punch stats don’t lie and Vergil landed to the body way more and landed at a higher percent and total punches landed way more also. For the people that say his face was more bruised well Vergil was landing way more body shots all night so in every catagory he beat him just because of thoes two knock downs that Vergil dominated in the round.

This fight truly showed how delusional Ortis truly is. Cried like a newborn on the first knockdown despite them ruling it a slip in his favor, then cried again when he was knocked down for the second time. Its funny because the refree was trying to rule the second knockdown as a slip, but when they started counting on the side panel, he kinda played into the knockdown and started counting, knowing people watching weren't going to let him get away with ruling it as a slip a second time. In all honesty i never liked vergil as a fighter, he's far too proud of himself, yet tries to come off as a humble guy. I remember attending a live event and Vergil refused to take a photo with an irish fan all because he wanted to have the irish flag in the photo. It was werid to say the least, but a lot of these guys act so diffrent when the cameras are around. Errol spence is the perfect example of this, acts nice and humble in person, then talks and acts like a thug on social media. None of these guys are true champions. Sorry

The judges already knew who was gonna win long before the fight. Oscar wouldn't be saying Vergil won if Bohachuk was his fighter him and Bernard would be screaming robbery. It didnt look like a knock down it look like vergil slip both times . Ive seen alot of fights u can tell the difference from a fall a slip or a knock down or a knock out they all have there categories.
