The score from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is really the best. It was really amazing when I watched this on TV. It was simply magical. It was like people stopped to hear Yo-yo Ma did his instrument for that wonderful piece. And yes, that piece won the Best Original Score at the Oscars 2001.
The presentation of the scores has always been my favorite Oscar segment, and that year they were presented in the most awe inspiring fashion concievable to man

and it's so liberating to see to classical instrumentalists play with out the sheets in front of tem...I think it is so pathetic when people who have taken a lifetime of education being unable to play from the heart
