I read your comment before I listened to the clip and I couldn't agree more. Billie's answer was perfect. It would be interesting to take the questioner's 8th grade school photo and have her comment on how he changed.
The comeback of that question was great, and that is true, She's grown a lot, personally, physically, mentally and professionally. Finneas and Billy are killing it right now. I only wish them the best.

There's always a journalist out there trying to make people feel uncomfortable about themselves. Asking someone who dealt with depression like that in front of all the eyes of the world it's such a personal question that Billie didn't really have to answer at all if she wanted because that belongs to her. That question was really inappropriate but it was handled well by her but still I felt second hand cringing all over by body.

Billie's answer about adolescence was very sincere, I went through the same process and recognizing the same experience in her is inspiring, amazing artist, I'm a big fan 👏🏿❤️

Bc Billie is the artist, the singer, not him.. normally you don’t even see the co writer speak at Oscars, Grammys and he is always there.. they are not a band, they work just every other artist and the artist is always the most important thing. Not other people behind. it's always been like this and he's lucky because he doesn't have 30 other people next to him to make her music like many other pop artists, also being his brother he can always be with her. other artists who have only one producer and songwriter you never see them…. But he is also her brother so he is with her everywhere actually he is the most privilege producer I have ever seen 😅 one of the legendary pop producers like Max Martin who made Britney Spears, Backstreet boys, all pop hits of this century from Taylor swift , Ariana Grande, Pink, Katy Perry Etc .. ALL.. never seen with them . Only when he personally as producer he just won the Grammys.. it’s crazy… they are always behind them all.
There are many other works by Finneas and Billie that would have deserved an Oscar as well... This duo is absolutely incredible for their originality, creativity, professionalism and also their personality in front of the system. Well deserved congratulations.

But with that said- I still completely agree with you about the title track as well! It is a masterpiece, in fact I got chills the first time I heard it because that song takes you on such an intense emotional journey! And that crescendo!!!! I can't think of a better example anywhere from any time! It is cinematic; even the music video is perfection! I love the craft, flow , lyrics of the song. But in no way this can be compared to "BE ALIVE", the song emphasizes hope, victory, humble, I fall down today but I know I can make it tmrw cause I am still here I am still breathing.

She works like no other pop artists has done in this century. She does more things and does everything by herself. She doesn't even use dancers on stage, and she knows how to control with alternative pop music, an entire crowd of 40/60 thousand people and she made history for the biggest and loudest crowd in 2019 at Reading festival when she was only -7 YEARS OLD … the youngest ever headliner in history for every important and oldest festivals in history .. she created her own style and BRAND (BLOHSH)when she was only 16/17 years old by herself Etc .. none of them is capable of that and she has been doing this since she was only 15 years old... 15 YEARS OLD. This girl deserves to be there just like them and even more.. and she didn't sell her soul to the pop industry and no one ever dared to tell her what to do .. she fought to do everything by herself and she won .. at only 15/16 .. Lady gaga had people behind her to tell her what to do in music videos, for her style Etc in her debut .. with her built character
_The_ best? Eh, not really IMO. Then again, I'm more biased to rock songs like "You Know My Name" (my personal favorite) and "Live and Let Die". That being said, I do think it's one of the best, and certainly leaps above "Writing's on the Wall"
