Who can relate themselves to Bahubali , I have never called my mom mahishmati , never seen chariot anywhere around me , but still loved Bahubali . I dont think its about relating ourselves. Its all about newness . Bollywood is showing same thing again and again and thats their problem . You can choose bizarre , unrelatable subjects , but if you present it rightly and its new it will be a hit.
But still u can relate to the core emotion of that story which is the bond that bahubali shared with his mom or the people around him....same goes with kgf, these movies held on to these core emotions with which everyone can relate to and i think its a major factor in the success of these projects....Even RRR , a simple story but that bond between two friends has been a major factor in its success....

Agnihotri is seriously a very interesting man. He will talk so much sense and will have delicious but pragmatic takes on things but there are these psychological dark gorges where he just goes nut nut. Always great to hear him nonetheless.

And just bcz people don't speak Hinglish in indore, Hinglish speakers don't exist? Does india not exist beyond indore? And must all stories be about villagers and the middle class? If we shouldn't aim above that then where does that leave blockbuster hits/classics like Guru, K3G? Something doesn't have to be relatable for people to enjoy something, it has to be fresh, enthralling or gripping. Dil Chahta hai was a huge hit and it wasn't the story of an average Joe in indore, it was a story of very well written characters which kept people invested in the storyline right till the end.

This is the first full interview of Vivek Agnihotri I have listened to and I'm impressed by his honesty, sincerity and spot on views about Bollywood. Quite embarrassing for the interviewer to admit that she did not see Kashmir Files, the director's key film. Doesn't matter what yr political ideology is at least be prepared fully for your interviews.

Hindi film industry should be saved from Punjabi nepotim (producers, directors, actors) as quick as possible, they are using Hindi films to promote Punjabi language, culture, people, characters. These people suppress hardworking talent especially from hindi region, nawaz, manoj, pankaj, neeraj kabi etc They show main character as punjabi and set in punjab region with punjabi songs in HINDI films, tell your stories in punjabi movies. now its time to completely remove all there influence in hindi film forever, also other influence like marathi etc, hindi movies only about hindi region people stories and characters, in or outside hindi region This trend of punjabi main character in hindi films mainly kick started in few decades, and there are so many example in just recent times, chandigarh kare aashique, antim, jersey, jug jug and even Tabbar, a "hindi-punjabi show" whats the need for that? even if the movie will be about Uttar pradesh characters they put punjabi songs like water like in Bachhan Pandey. after 47 lots of punjabi came to this side from lahore and other part of pakistan punjab and they settled in delhi mainly and changed the demographic and lot of our hindi region muslims went there and lot of punjabi started working in hindi film industry since beginning of the industry and there started lot of strong nepotim and punjabi talent favoritism in hindi industry which is highly strong till today Hindi film industry for Hindi talent, and for Hindi region people stories, and for Hindi languages: Hindi Urdu Awadhi Braj etc
