The idea of the project became obsolete 10-15 years ago. And the selection of the materials themselves, from which you need to build a ship, simply does not stand up to criticism ..... A modeler who can build a ship well from this set needs a standing ovation, because this is an incredibly difficult job carving a sculpture from solid wood ....
Very nice build, not an easy kit. Yours seems to be a newer version. I finally got around to finishing this kit some 20 years after I bought it and mine had brown plastic parts for the prow and stern carvings and the shields, gives much deeper and finer definition to the carving but makes it very difficult to achieve a scale thickness.
For this ship I have used liquid Millarco secunda glue, it dries quickly and is a very good product for some shipbuilding. But Robbe Speed the yellow which is jelly glue is also a good product and is easier to control
