Since people in the comments have already said something about Ruby and Aquas skin, They are not Blasian they are both fully Japanese that is just their skin tone it is just a headcannon how I see them and not cannon at all!! I hope this clears up some confusion!! 🫶
If this was a black skinned or tan skinned character that someone made slightly whiter, a lot of ppl are probably gonna be mad, but it's okay if it's the opposite?? The double standard is crazyy
@@yaoshiro7513 it's the same problem either way, I don't like people making characters whiter and also people making characters darker. What I found strange is the fact people is just okay with creator making the character skin different by using the reason "headcanon".

It would make sense if they were a bit darker since they’re Asian, poc, but to only have ruby and aqua darker while the rest is white confuses me (also guys if a character has darker skin, it’s not blackwashing, only their skin change and there’s more than one race with darker complexion than just black people 😅)
Yes! Making white characters darker is not headcanon or anything like tanning. It's not justified by tanning, since a tan would be much lighter; lighter skin tones don't have that tan. And the headcanon implies something completely different, but not skin tone..
@@yuta9036 black washing doesn’t exist, whitewashing has and historical context behind it whitewashing was used to erase black representation throughout media. You could actually see this even now. Also most Asian people are tan skin, and whiter skin became popular as it means they didn’t have to work out in the sun, causing them to get tan, even though the beauty standards are the whiter you are the prettier you are whitewashing was also used to put down Black people to erase their importance throughout history. In the media that was made back people white , and they aren’t blasian nor black. They’re still Asian what you’re saying is that there’s no such thing as darker skin Asian. But also in anime there’s no can or there’s few tan asian people also have a little bit of tan and it’s not like they’re making them fully black because that’s a whole different thing but they’re just giving them a tan. apparently, it's a HC. aka a head cannon. the creator felt like it was nessesary to change their skin color. dont know the lore behind that so couldn't explain why or what for. that's why though. I had to go back and read the images in the first part of the video. I have rlly shitty vision so I didn't even see the words at first. (creator, if you can see this, u would have better luck just making a pinned comment to explain. that way, you wont have to waste ur time explaining and can just delete comments complaining in the future.
