Many years ago a friend asked me if I had one word for what Bhagwan has taught me, what would it be? Without hesitation I said ‘awareness’.

Summary :- Osho said here that renunciation (giving something up/self denial) is enforced dropping of things. Because it is done with force, nothing really drops away. It simply goes deeper into your unconscious. When you enforce something, this makes the problem greater. It hides in the darkness. Renunciation is repression. If you try to renounce sex, that repression makes it become perverted. Repressed sex can become greed for money or political ambition. The one thing I want you to learn is AWARENESS. This light will take care of all your problems. With the flame of awareness inside you, you know yourself for the first time. When you are lit up inside, there is no need to say ''Do this'', or ''Don't do that''. You will do only whatsoever is right. That which comes out of awareness is right. That which comes out of unawareness (ignorance) is wrong.
