I'm sorry, but if you got offended by this you should really rethink your values about what's important to you. If a kid doesn't understand the jokes yet, he/she is too young and won't even notice it. If he/she understands it then he/she would most likely find it funny and already knows about that stuff anyways. I really don't see how anyone could get offended by it.
Hey +CrazyBadCuber, I really appreciate the warning! I'm glad that you were thoughtful enough to do this, while many people would've just cut to the video, and possibly raised the eyebrows of a few unfortunate people. For this, you have my respect, (more than you already had xD), even if you were asked to do so. Thanks!
Finally a cuber who is willing to delve into actual humor. I don't think you should have the disclaimer though. If people don't find it funny they don't have to keep watching.
When you are demonstrating the puzzle you are over-riding the mechanism (that's the clicking noise on axes that are not adjacent to the bandaged piece). The mechanism is meant to not allow turns on those cuts at all, and if used as intended the geometry is indeed deeper-than origin. However, if used like you're showing it, it is just the equivalent of a normal cube with an edge piece glued to two corner pieces. It is no longer deeper-than-origin.
The stiff layers are actually not supposed to move. Its supposed to be a bandaged cube type thing where you can only move sides that are neighboring the hole.
When you first got it was tight or loose? When tension-ing it, did you have to screw it hard? All jokes aside, I was surprised how intricate the mechanisms were. It's really a neat puzzle. It's also one of those things that should young children watch it, they'll probably think 'oh, that's a funny design' without explicitly knowing exactly why we find it hilarious. I think you managed the review well. It might have been a bit creepier using a woman (especially one who was paid) to do it.
Everyone thinks it's a sex joke and I'm sitting here thinking about how much weed I could stuff in this. My friend has a cube that splits in half only when solved and you know illicit things are stored within the cube. Police officers are not smart enough to understand the cube. Not saying you need to be smart to solve it so don't straw man me bruh
"I've tried to ask all the girls I know, nobody was willing to do it. Ive tried to pay them. I've even gone to "talent agencies" to talk about hiring somebody to come and do it, but it was just a little bit too expensive" Out of context gold
I'm actually glad that most of the community allows creators to not be bounded by censorship and personal opinion on what is acceptable. If you're offended by a puzzle, you're typically taking a very irrational and close-minded stance.
It drives me nuts being here in the UK because I can't get most of the cubes reviewed by most youtubers unless I want to pay like 5 times the price of one in postage
Only the mom of a 6 year old would be offended by this and only that 6 year old could consider this funny. I was actually hoping for something even slightly outrageous after the over the top apologies. More traditional reviews are definitely the strength of this channel.
Yes, some of the jokes were a little dirty, especially the one at the end, but you've overestimated how good behavior of kids today is. Kids on my bus say "C***" without hesitation.
The parts where it clicked is not supposed to be able to turn. I think he called it the enabler cube the bandaged part was the enabler and you could only move the parts with the enabler
j0nthegreat I think that's a matter of opinion. I think it looks fine. I did many many different shots with different white balance, ISO, shutter speeds etc.
Is this different than Oskars deep cube because with his the the two faces not touching the open space could not turn but the two puzzles look identical
I love your videos they help me a lot and are very interesting. Keep making videos and if you have any extra puzzle could you give it to me.i live in India . Thanks !
