Y’all ain’t ever eat a peanut wit the shell??? That shit lowkey better then a normal peanut, all salty n shit. Idgaf if it gets caught in my digestive track.
@@markmartinez6317 yeah it was the hard boiled egg from the beginning. Thrax shows up shortly after. EDIT My first statement about thrax is right but the oyster scene is a flashback where he pukes on the teacher Idk why i thought it was the zit scene smh
The production design on this film is unbelievably good. Like the way the make Frank's body feel like a living, breathing city and all the little details thereof is just insane.
Honeslty it feels more like a dreamworks take on what inside out did. Dreamworks does pretty good with parody’s (sometimes) and a buddy cop story inside a human seems pretty up their alley. Even has their thing for crude humour. Imagine a better version of Shark tale and you basically have Osmosis Jones
0:26 my mom and I just watched this movie the other day. When this came up, she asked me if I caught the joke. Of course I didn't. It went over my head. She told me back in the 70's-80's, the Hare Krishna folks were often seen at airports, train stations, and outside jails as people left. They were basically spreading their ideology like the Jehovah Witnesses do today. She thought it was funny how the animators incorporated them in the movie by having them hang out at the stomach, which is basically like the intake center of an airport or train station. ... just thought I'd mention that little fun fact in case anyone else was either too young to remember that tidbit or was just never aware of that fact.
Well this is literally a children’s film, so it makes sense that it has been labelled as for kids. Although disabling comments for those videos is still bullshit
@@jamesestrella5911 The cells themselves (adipocytes) do not redeposit. However, these cells can release their contents through the process of lipolysis, releasing into the bloodstream free fatty acids and glycerol that other cells can uptake for energy. Free fatty acids that aren't immediately taken up by cells may bind to albumin for transport to surrounding tissues that require energy or make their way back to the liver to be converted into triglycerides and eventually go back into an adipocyte. TL:DR, humans CAN redistribute fat, but it doesn't happen that often.
It's just baffling how much people supposedly hated this movie. I mean, I kinda thought it was so-so when I was a kid, but looking back on it now it's truly genius in so many ways. They put *_a lot_* of effort into this movie and it honestly shows.
They hated it because it was (and is) overflowing with gross-out humor. And the live action parts are of poor quality. The world-building aspect couldn't balance it out.
Tbh what frustrates me is that the animated segments are golden, in animation, in world design, THE JOKES, etc. But the live action segments are so gross and irritating to me that I can never watch this movie in full again. I just come to the animated scenes every now and again
What's more, if you look on Drix's label, he expired in 1980. I guess this movie takes place in 2001. So he's been waiting a long time. Maybe the pills were all in stasis or something in the box tho
In truth, that has me wondering what every single microorganism even does in their initial environments. Because the second they enter the body of a living organism, the take action doing what they please. Thrax and those other germs started out within the chimp’s saliva and everything on the ground before clinging onto the egg, Drix was inside the pill. They’re either in full dormancy, or they’re masters of patience.
I never noticed before but I guess since I have my AirPods in I can hear it. But if you listen you can hear Frank’s Heart beating in the background which is a pretty nice detail.
Years ago in 2nd grade my class watched the movie for a science test and half the class failed because we put down the character as osmosis jones as Marty the zebra and we called thrax cancer 😭 I remember this movie randomly for some reason
I saw it on STARZ in April 2019 when I was 11 with my dad and I thought it was good and I’m 14 now and I still love it and I understand the jokes and how underrated it was
I haven't seen or thought about this movie since I rented it at Blockbuster in like 2009-10. What a blast from the past... the early 2000's had some very cool animated films!
the most underrated animated movie with room to sneak in endless amount of adult jokes, lol also i loved how these human cells had genders, used hand held devices, rode helicopters, and often equipped with guns grenades and sometimes bazookas.. LMAO, like how do you come up with something like tat =D
And I just found out only two days ago, when I had watching the clips of 'Osmosis Jones', that the guy who's the voice of Drix is David Hyde Pierce, the one who was Frasier's younger brother in 'Frasier', surprisingly. Or not surprisingly, since I'd heard him be as the voice of Slim from Disney/PIXAR's 'A Bug's Life' before. Didn't know it was him until then.
Weird tone with Ozzie lurking in the shadows to stare at a girl, getting in her space & grabbing her, then those straightup slasher grins... It's like the animators didn't get that he's the hero.
I can’t believe I forgot all about this movie. I was looking through a 20-year-old issue of MAD magazine and saw an ad for it. Could barely remember the main characters. Ah my childhood 🥺
David Hyde Peirce Played the Voice of Drix who played Niles from Frasier and Chris Rock was the Voice of Osmosis Jones and Brandy was Ozzy’s girlfriend and the mayor’s assistant
Dude this is dredging up so many repressed memories. In middle school they just shoved all of us into the auditorium and put this on lol I honestly have no idea
An animation only remake of Osmosis Jones would be sick, not like the live action is animated, just life inside the body of said unaware person, with thematic transitions and all
I remember watching this movie on STARZ when I was 11 in early 2019 with my dad and I thought it was good and I’m 14 now and I still love it and I understand the jokes and how underrated this movie was
I don't know why Ozzy needs to change his appearance into that of a macho, I think he's already gorgeous! Leah would take a liking to him if he wasn't trying too hard and just be himself
I like this movie why they didn't make a sequel to show more of Osmosis Jones and Leah with more parts of them. Osmosis Jones does have a crush on Leah, I'm glad they end up together in the end. Leah was a fool not to like him in the first place, I wish they a sequel about these characters.
I noticed something different between Ozzy and Drix. Ozzy and the other cells are like a 2D animated character and Drix is like a 3D animated character. I used to loved this movie since I took a great interest of that animated TV series Ozzy and Drix back when I was a high school student in 2005. Even now. I'm still loved it.😃
