Only trouble I see with this challenge of trying to buy a bond, is that the bond only lasts for 14 days, then you have to buy another. Nobody wants to spend the majority of their play time trying to afford their next bond, and most people can't just play all the time. Seems like it would be a better challenge to actually go beyond this, and then establish yourself, such that you can more quickly get your next bond, both in members, and in f2p, so you can recover back to members fast when it lapses while still getting to use most of your game time to actually just play and do other things.
it unironically requires absurd methods that no one else is doing or intimate knowledge of f2p flipping if you don't want it taking over 50 hours to get a bond.
@@LensOSRSthere was a guy in the GE on world 302 today playing with a toy horsey, and I stg it's your fault lmaooo I haven't seen anyone do that in forever
My theory is that its demand comes from people making "anti-scam" accounts that they stand with at the GE (and collectors for sure) because upon playing with the horsey, the message is "Say neigh to gambling!". (These accounts are probably botted to do that, which is why they might need lots of horses cause ironically, they probably get banned despite their noble goal)
@@dominos2for1 its because lets say theres scammer1 and scammer2. scammer1 doesnt like that scammer2 is doing the same and they want less competition, therefore they say that scammer2 is doing the scam and people then dont fall for that persons. Or another thing is that they want to build a trust between stupid people and then scam them
No pking had me instantly watch the whole video. Every single fucking person doing a "from scratch" is like 3 mins of killing rock crabs and heading to revs.
Yea that’s why I stopped watching a lot of those videos. Every pker has made the same exact one. Pretty sure lagunarium just uploaded one earlier today.
1) Find a way to make your first few hundred k. 2) Train magic to 55 with fire strike at lesser demon at Wizard's Tower and be sure to bring Telegrab runes and grab every drop over 200g. 3) Live at the GE and buy various rune items (mainly kiteshields, longswords, maces, and swords) and High Alch them for 45-60k profit per 70 (70 is the 4 hour limit) You can make like 500k+ profit for less than an hour of high alching and it's very afkable while watching RU-vid or a movie if you leave in offers overnight or while at work, maybe 210 or 280 of 3 different rune items. Also, you get around 82k magic exp if you high alch for an hour straight, and you profit a few hundred k. I got 81 magic from high alching alone and have made 21m and my f2p account is only 4 days and 5 hours old.
I made my bond like that , also living in world 308 , when I surpass the amount in GE I would do flipping high volume items and wait for collectors to appear in GE , help them for profit , took me like 2 days of playing like 18 hours total to get my bond :)
I would love to see a sustaining a bond as a new member since the last time there was a guide for it it was like 3 years ago when bonds were 4-5m Anyways this was a great video to watch good stuff
Eh, it's something like Miscellania and 2 herb runs a day to fully sustain a bond. You add in something like battlestaff and dynamite dailies and it's rather easy to upkeep even at 11m each.
As much as I love seeing these videos, you should make one based off how long it would take playing the game rather than shopscape. Maybe like killing ogresses/hill giants how a f2p player would want to play rather than just grind shops quick
Ogresses would take about 100 hours, not including training time. But if you got insanely lucky at brophyta, you could get a bond in just two kills. (or 120-ish kills if on drop rate).
@@The_Azure_ The only thing I hate about moss giants is that you eventually outlevel them and they become unaggressive. So it's a massive chore to get mossy keys and babysit each fight.
Bruhh.. we crossed paths buying Moulds/Thread in Al Karid the other day 😂 i recognized the name F2Pringle instantly. It has been a pain for me to get 6mill over the last week and thats with a full 24hrs played. Im grateful for this video since its given me a few better ideas ill run with for the next week to get myself that bond! Thank you good sir!!
My suggestion for people who want to earn bond, but also want to work on stuff for their account. Do all f2p quest, this should get you some stats and 40/40/40(ish) in melee. Train mage to 55 for high alch. Use mage to kill ogress for profit (range is better profit, because cheaper to shoot arrows then cast spell, but you will need to level that up to 40 at least). When you get off for the night take your entire cash stack and put in buy orders for rune items that high alch for solid money. When you get back on high alch all your rune items. If you want to train more go back to ogress with range or mage and again profit off that. Take all you cash stack at the end of the night and put in buy orders again. You can leave buy orders going all day long once you start having some mills so that you always have like 100k to buy runes, arrows, food or whatever else you might need to level. This basically sets you up that for when you get members your range/mage stats will be pretty high. This unlocks a lot of potentially good money making methods for you in members like bosses and things. (pro tip : Do not zero your money out for a bond, get a little over a bond as you're still going to want money to do things in members, have at least 1 mil should be good enough)
Buying something from ge and selling to a shop is not flipping, neither is the reverse. Buying something from ge lower than usual and selling for higher is flipping...
Not sure if you got told already, but you can disable the “warning massage” to workshop to a safe non lvl world. Pair up with a hotkey for jumping into the next world you can world hop in like 2-3 sec!
I'd love for F2P to get some updates, and honestly I think a good one could be something like Fist of Guthix, but reworked. It was f2p and p2p, maybe we can make some balanced rewards between the two while giving f2p some new content with p2p
Back in the day, the best F2p money maker was buying elemental runes from aubury for 4 gp and selling on the Grand Exchange for 5 gp, and getting Death runes when they were 300 gp back then. This worked well when the bots had Gerrant's Store and the jug packs on lockdown. Used to be a solid 450k to 550k gp/hr assuming you had the capital to do it and when the US playerbase was at work/sleeping.
Been f2p for 4 years. Almost maxed stats, got a quest cape (removed when ds2 released) with the current prices of bonds im maxing out all skills that don’t require membership. Crafting - rubies, hit 99. Smithing addy plate bodies (in progress) magic high alching the addy plates (98 magic 8k high alch left) just better utilization of my time then hitting member and making gold, I don’t want the pressure of buying membership and wasting time doing easy skills. Only f2p I’m saving for members is fishing infernal eels as very afk and give great gp with zero effort. Ok bye :)
I commend your persistence. I would just make the jump to membership and live there rest of your acc there. The easy skills become even easier with members methods, and it's relatively easy to maintain a bond with p2p money making. Cheers!
Tbh, since you were only averaging 200k an hour (not accounting for logged out sell times) it would probably be best to do lower profit skills to progress the account if actually trying to earn a bond (cooking, woodcutting, smelting, crafting, magic) Still like to see content like this especially bonds continue to climb. I've set earning a bond as my condition to leave ftp twice in the past, selling iron plate bodies to horvik is still pretty good.
I really appreciate this video, as someone who is being "gate kept" by the price of bonds(i cannot afford to play, i cant afford to buy bonds and i cant afford the time to farm them now, i used to farm 2 bonds every month when Bonds were like 4mil) but 22mil a month is impossible for me. As always thanks a ton mr Lens!
@LensOSRS the only time to consider buying bonds for membership is when you're at endgame imo. Early and mid game you're just slowing down your progress a ton to upkeep membership
@@chadley2014 Man you just keep spitting facts 😂Yeah I agree, When you have to worry about maintaining your bond every 2 weeks and deleting 13m+ from your acc to do so, it can get demotivating. Though some people have to do that
I really appreciate that you used methods everyone can use instead of sweaty ge flipping and had a grounded and realistic opinion on it at the end. Great vid!
Back when osrs runescape mobile released, i got back into the game, wanting to stay f2p as i was as a kid, but eventually i wanted to earn a bond, but i didn't want to do money making without earning XP so i went for sapphire rings which were good money back then, all the way to lvl 69 and then quit runescape for a while. Now the bonds nearly doubled in price and i feel like i wasted all that time
Personally, my favorite method to making bond gp is training your account till you can kill bryophyta. 9m drop, and beginner clues! I know it’s a grind getting your skills high enough to kill moss giants and bryophyta, but it’s a great way to give your account a give combat advantage by the time you do buy the first bond. Just an idea.
Bryo is one of the only other viable methods I would go about escaping f2p. It's essentially like trying to win a lottery for your freedom. Ironically I have a guide for Bryo f2p coming out soon
Would definitely want to see a sustain bond video as well, echoing the other sentiments here. I think it's just hard to imagine sustaining because most people have trouble imagining gp/hr. If a drop isn't 100k, they don't wanna do that method lol.
A few months later and those same bonds are almost 15 mil now and none of these methods are fast enough to keep up with inflation unless you do nothing but play OSRS. :/ Good video though, appreciate the format and effort you put into it.
Subbed lol. If you do the sustaining vid I'll stay subbed 🤣. (Probably gonna stay regardless but would appreciate the vid). Just came back to OSRS after getting hacked and swearing off the game. I just can't stay away😭
It’s not flipping if you are buying items from the ge and creating a new item with the items you bought. Then selling for more. Flip is buying one item, and relisting it in the same form as you bought it.
Happy to see a realistic picture of what f2p to bond is like in this day and age, instead of just randomly exploiting a one day market manipulation and acting like it's a legit long term money making method.
I got 4 bonds in F2P recently, If you've got experience with the game it's not too bad but it is getting harder and harder. I intend to sustain membership after using those to gain levels/methods.
people say its not worth it for F2p anymore but what this guy ISNT showing is how helpful everyone is, that little 10k he started with is cool but people will literally sit in f2p lumbridge worlds and just give away millions. I started yesterday and got a free bond as well as 7 mil i have 6 hours in game time.
sure it takes talking to other players but its simple, i literally asked someone where i can get a pot and he said "trade me" then dropped 6 mil in the trade and said "you can buy it for 1g in this shop follow me" then he invited me to his clan everyone was super cool i stated that i was thankful for the 6mil as its my first ever runescape character and while the bond prices are high i plan on trying to sustain my mem just by playing and another member told me to meet him at the GE, after looking up wtf he was talking about i met him there where he gave me a bond and the rest of the money for another bond as well. If you are worried about not getting mem DONT, you still have tons of grinding that NEEDS to be done before even buying member. but from my understanding you cant do it if your iron or sum like that so youd have to do his method but since i am new i didnt even know about that
@@princememphis7726 my luck continues as ive joined a clan that is providing bonds to people that they deem serious, as a student i can afk and complete courses easily, while staying logged i guess they think im serious enough to provide me with 30 days member and tell me what quests are needed to be completed
average runescape f2p bond grind: 1. you start looking for a good gold making method 2. realize they have all been ruined by botting 3. find one that hasn't been ruined as much 4. grind to afford a bond 5. get enough gold 6. realize the price of a bond has increased since you started so you actually don't have enough gold now repeat
❤ your vid and dedication. Im fortunate to have a job to pay for membership finally... no more wasting 50 hours labor in game i just spend ~ 1 hour of income instead ❤
My ACC from scratch never paid for bonds now it's better when you can sustain being member I think it's easy now if you go kill pirates in wildy easy bond
I think its so sad that there aren't any truly viable skilling or combat money making options for f2p... Except for rune stuff but that takes AGES to get the stats
ive got the stats for rune and when i played it wasnt really worth it, it takes like 6 minutes to walk there and back in f2p and clans are camping there constnatly.
Now try it without flipping from the shop. Maybe start at level 3 and kill monsters. Could even try little looting in PvP worlds. Just to see what the difference in time is. Great video though
Even when bonds were half the price they are now, this was a tedious feat. Jagex lost the war for F2P against bots long ago. Anyway, it’s entertaining seeing the methods people use in these challenges, I was kind of tuning the video out but seeing a GE buy order for 6000 onions was very funny
I would love to see a video of someone trying to maintain a bond with a max playtime of somewhere from like 10 to 16 hours per week of playtime for those of us that don’t have much more time to play. I’m sure it’s doable I’m just curious.
I've gotten myself to a point that I can maintain a bond by only doing herb runs, I do a few things along with it which also help. But my last bond I used, I spent 0 time focusing on money making and was able to get enough for another bond. It's good to finally enjoy the game without the bond financial stress.
10 mins in...this feels like a video showcasing how a bot, someone with extensive game experience or a youtuber making a video on unusual methods would go about getting a f2p bond rather than a normie player experience working to it. Felt like it was everything but representative of the f2p experience, haha. Still entertaining though.
im telling you, if youre new and genuinely dont know what to do in order to make a bond, just craft gold jewelry and high alch it. you will be making the bond in a matter of days instead of weeks with these ADHD f2p flipping schemes requiring a shit ton of clicking. you can basically afk your bond, crafting 99 and magic 99 with 2 bonds
To be honest this isn't much different from flipping. The difference is you're doing between NPCs shops and G.E. And earning by hard and honest skilling or PVM? It would take you weeks.
