I think including the explanations of WHY the skilling methods work the way they do is great and really helpful for anyone wanting to get into skilling, spreading of knowledge is always great to see. There's a million guides out there saying "to 1.5t teaks: use a knife on a log, then run 2 tiles, then click tree" without people really understanding or being taught why it works the way it does.
Great video. Loved you explaining what you're doing. I don't play rs anymore, but you are one of very few channels I now watch with tremendous interest
I loved the in depth skill explanation. I’ve always been interested in the top end skilling strats, they’ve just got too much clicking for me to want to do for hours on end. So it’s amazing to me that you can do it for 75+ hours.
Pleeeeeaseeee give us all of the annoying information. I’ve recently gotten into the “fastest” methods of training and I love hearing new and effective ways to train. Can’t wait to see more from the series bro!
1. Loving this speedrun 2. Before your lengthy explanation, I learned 1.5 tick wc from your last episode, just from observance 3. Got me all the logs I needed for 99 con on ironman in no time 4. Your clicks are godlike, my 1.5 tick wc was sloppy and embarrassing most the time. I have 8 mahog stocks to prove it too from my short (relative) grind Keep it up man, this is fantastic!
1. ty! 2 & 3. glad i motivated you to try it out, banking 99 is super fast with it! 4. Trust me man in the early levels they were AWFUL. Just gets better with practice though
Even as someone with no interest in using these methods myself I really enjoy the explanation and feel that you did a great job of covering both how and why the method works. Most certainly didn't feel like filler.
jcw, i think that running to the far birdhouse in verdant valley is a few ticks faster than going to the one that is closest to the mushroom, i could be wrong tho
Appreciate the info for future. Heavy thing to consider though is a lot of the time I'm logging out immediately after birdhouse runs cause I can't play for a long time anyway since work and stuff. So it's probably best to do the farthest birdhouse last and log out there when that happens
Last week i saw clockworks and bird nests on the ground and thought that person must be stupid... It never occured to me that they might be any% maxing
If you worry about boring people, it might be good to have an "Extra notes" bit at the end where you explain the method so people who don't play don't have to skip through a fear missing something because they don't care about the intricates of EHP skilling methods. Just a thought, I love the explanations though.
3:10 I think the reason it gives you two logs is similar to the woox walk, where the game allows you to both move and initiate an attack/action in a single click. The "action" of the fletching is added to the "action" of a click to move+perform an action. Both of these actions get completed once your 3-tick fletching action is over.
I dont believe thats true. Its rare occiasions you can 1.5t, such as pure ess mine, teaks, daeyalt ess mine, etc. If what you wrote was the case, you should theoretically be able to 1.5t everything you can 3t, such as mining hems.
it is because the tree is large so different sides of the tree are different objects so you technically click 2 different objects in the same cycle it also works with other big things like redwood trees and daeyalt essence for the same reason. but normal non player grown teaks are 1x1 and so you're clicking the same object instead so it only gets 1 roll. basically it depends if the tree / object is big enough that Jagex splits the object into multiple chunks.
getting 2 logs is an inherent bug with the game engine. Jagex has confirmed this and that there is no way to fix the issue without completely changing the game engine (which they said they won't do)
This feels like when I zone out in a uni lecture, pick up about half of the info, and still enjoy the experience. Thank you for the unique content! I'd never know some of this without your vids. I hope you enjoy sharing even if it's work to edit and fit in your busy schedule, I think this stuff is worth sharing. I'm 200m wc but it's from afking redwoods at work for context.
In that location with 2 birdhouses, doing the north one first saves 1 tick due to pathing. You could also bring logs instead and make new birdhouses while running between spots for some free crafting xp, though that would only save you a few minutes on the way to max. Also, 7:28, I see what you did there.
as some one who is just getting into tick manipulation at a few places I just learned about 2t teaks in priff I enjoy that because I can go into a bit of a trance and zone out? would it be worth while learning this method. 0.5 tick saved didn't sound like much until I realized it's 25% better for someone who wants to save time wcing would you recommend learning this over 2t?
2t in my opinion is one of the easiest skilling tick manip methods. 1.5t is likely the hardest. If you wanna challenge yourself I'd say learn for it, but be expected to get worse rates in the beginning, and don't give up on it, just keep pushing till you get it down
@@Jcw damn I don't think I would do it long enough to learn it property since there's a good chance I'd only do it for 85-90 before afking at redwoods becomes more viable for my time to max, irl time wise thank you for the response!!!!
"dont logs or just afk that tick" make it seem like you have time to get a snack or go to the bathroom lmao! but great explanation and great vid, def enjoying the series!
Love the explanation, I dont play anymore but I still watch lots of content and it was insightful, only thing I would say is I was kind of expecting you to show 99 woodcutting at the end, not sure if you got it or if you're saving it for next video, either way great vid
When you said you know nothing about this game after not knowing you couldn't trade birdhouses just goes to show how much knowledge this game requires. Someone with 200M xp in all non-combat skills is still learning things. Crazy
Would you ever consider doing individual guides like you explained here? Separate videos with detailed step by steps. Think that could be really useful for EHP nerds like myself, really liked how you broke it down etc but for method's less known could be good? Love the vids
3:38 Not technically true, you get to drop 1.5x less logs as the spaces saved from burning a log also have a 1 in 3 chance of not being filled a second time (from another proc on your next cut), thus totalling 1.5 logs per inventory space overall. This is similar to why your average bone at the chaos altar has 2 uses, despite only having a 50% chance of being saved
I find this both very impressive and very sad. Life has so many exciting opportunities and people decide to spend it tick manipulating a declining game from 2006 whilst passively getting depression and joint injuries. Good luck on maxing anyway
How come you have to move every time on same tree? Can’t you just stay in one spot whilst cutting same tree by just doing knife>log>click tree and repeat?
Holyshit Years of playing this game, watching videos about tick manipulation, this is the first time that someone explained it in the way I understood it
Teak stock should have been mahogany stock, since trying to making a teak stock with more than one teak log in the inventory. You will have a chat interface popup asking how many you want to make. For anyone else trying to follow this guide in the future.
explanation was good, alot of other creators will say to just click this and that but don't actually go in depth of what items to click on what ticks ect
I really appreciated the explanation and how it was presented. If you are worried about people who are already aware of it, you can just tell us where to skip to in order to get past it.
bro said last episode how he doesn't want to copy other yt's but hes copying he box jonge series and then also is now copying his intro lmaoooo still enjoying the series though
the thought of you doing that for hours is insane, no wonder that guy thought you were a bot. I dont think i could do that for 10 mins and not want to faceplant into my desk
....please don't say "1/3 percent chance" anymore😭 But seriously, cool vid and good explanations! Can always appreciate some good ol osrs sweaty gamelan
And in my comment jokingly critiquing what was more than likely an accidental grammar mistake, I incorrectly insinuate he says that phrase all the time, and not just a one-off -_- Stay humble kids and don't be a douche nozzle leaving comments on grammar 😭
Random question, what is efficient farming? im surprised you dont do tree runs during down time since they should be pretty efficient. let me know if im wrong I dont want to get so sweaty 1.5 ticking but its cool to know how it is done. WC is an afk type of thing for me while reading or studying
