I think the founding fathers based the constitution on elected persons that would have the best interests of their constituents in regards when passing various legislations. Most repubs and certainly too many demos, do not have neither the moral or ethical compass to make this so. Mostly, its about what is best for their bank accounts.

It is. It’s in the constitution. The problem is, voting should be for citizens only. How do you prove you’re a citizen and not an immigrant? Some states require a state issued identification. Everyone has identification. Get your ID, get yourself to the polls when they’re open, and cast your ballot. The Democrats hold the White House, the House of Representatives, and the Senate. This is a solution looking for a problem.

He was checking the voter rolls and speaking to the residents who were registered to vote. What he found was dozens of the people he spoke to were in the country illegally and were registered to vote. California has a motor voter law, which allows people to register to vote when they get a driver’s license. When he turned that information over to the California Secretary of State, who is responsible for elections in the state, they refused to remove them from the voter rolls. It’s the same with dead people. They aren’t removed from the voter rolls, yet somehow most are still casting ballots from the grave. This is why I often make the comment that conservatives in California are outnumbered be the dead person and illegal alien vote, which overwhelmingly benefits the Democrats. You can bet those voters would be removed from the rolls if they suddenly started voting Republican. Your comment would make sense if citizenship was verified at the time of registration, but that isn’t always the case in California and possibly other states. Also, if you proved citizenship to register, what’s the problem with proving you’re the person who is registered to vote? Showing a voter ID when casting your ballot would prevent someone from impersonating you and voting on your behalf. Republicans say they want every legal vote to count. This means they only want votes of living US citizens of legal voting age to count. Immigrants, children under legal voting age, and dead people should not be voting in our elections.

If you want insist on having ID every time we exercise a right, I'll trade you having to show ID to vote if Republicans will support showing proof of citizenship whenever gun owners want to go shooting. And we finally criminalized the horrific act of handing out food and water to people standing in line for hours because their district intentionally has fewer polling places creating longer waits.

You’re wrong. Voting by mail in CA, UT, and other states is way easier than your state because you don’t have no excuse vote by mail.

On a serious note, I have no problem with Voter ID, so long as the ID is provided by the state at no charge. If a person has to pay for an ID in order to vote (or, in other words, pay to vote) that is equivalent to a poll tax. The Georgia law was crafted to address a problem that did not exist; a problem only called out by the Big Lie, that there was mass voter fraud. There simply was not. There was no mass fraud. The few cases that have been found have been mainly people voting in Georgia and in another state, or people registering their dead grandma or spouse in order to vote twice for Trump. Arizona found no fraud, and they were even looking for bamboo to make sure China wasn't involved. There was no delivery of fake ballots to New Hampshire by Korean sailors. There was no secret server at a military base in Germany that was stormed by US Special Forces that showed Trump won by nearly 300 Electoral Votes. It simply didn't happen. But it's the only way Republicans can maintain their fragile grasp as the minority. Their conservative policies are not winning democratically, and so instead of revisiting and possibly abandoning those policies, they are abandoning democracy. The blatant racism and outright fascism visible in the Republican party is only going to divide us further and enable outlier vigilantes.

We've had some form of Voting by Mail since the 1860s, but it only became a problem when the Republican incumbent realized the Democrats were mobilizing a stronger vote by mail campaign. He even had his Postmaster General begin to dismantle some of our Postal service in an effort to limit vote by mail options. I think because red states are redistricting their states so that they get more Republicans in each district so that the electoral votes would hold more Republican votes than Democrat votes...Some states have already been made law like texas...They're also reducing the number of voting boxes where people have a hard time getting to by way of car if they have none or by metro bus if they don't live near a bus stop like way out in the country somewhere...and it is not just about race but more so low income citizens...

Where they are silencing Republican voices in the House all the same. This goes both ways. As for drop boxes, the Georgia bill essentially makes it so that every county has a box. Before 2020 that wasn’t even the case. Additionally, the Georgia Bill gives 16 days to vote early. That’s more than ample time for anyone.
