I really was pumped after hearing they were actually going to focus more on story, but I was severely disappointed when I played the game. Unfortunately, I had to sell the game a month later cause I'm not too much of a fan when it comes to online fighting games. I think Namco should make a new game with SCV's gameplay, and add in a long and detailed story that follows Siegfried from the start of Soul Blade all the way to the ending of SCII. Also maybe include the mini stories for each character
And even better, there's an extended story of all kinds of details you might've missed called "Libra of Soul". Best part is, it's a story following your OC.
@@darknessslayer5968 Yeah I'm aware. It's certainly the closest thing to Soul Calibur 3 in terms of story. I was just hoping for one main central story rather than being restricted to the small ones only. What I really wanted was an almost RPG-like experience where you travel from place to place getting new weapons and encountering the other characters, with the experience being totally story driven. Imagine something akin to Soul Calibur Legends storyline wise but replace the crappy combat with traditional Soul Calibur gameplay and much better writing along with the game being similar to something like a main entry to Final Fantasy.
Comparing soul calibur 2 and 5, 2 has faster animation than 5. Meaning, if you try block in a split second in 2. You succeed. If you block in 5 in a split second, you failed. Had to be like 2 seconds to block. I should know, i just started soul calibur 5 after 2 and got my ass kicked severely. And i was good in 2. However, the story is great and some features. Some.
