That’s the first time I ever….EVER…..saw a jet win a class, let alone a championship, but after all……jets were all there were in the class! #muchadoaboutnothing
They are free turbines. The output shaft is not connected to the jet. Easiest way to think of it is an air clutch. After that its like all mods, motors are connected by gears and the power plants all do what than can for the same job. Getting us down that track. Honestly its not as complex as you would think. If you are ever at a pull go into the pits and just ask them. Also big thing to keep in mind, we use turbines not jets. Big difference is turbines have an output shaft to give power to the airframe, while jets use trust to provide power.
People use loads of different configurations, I know "The Whispering Giant" Uses an axle that goes to a transfer case to combine 3 or 4 Isotov engines to the rear axle. But I have seen teams use hydraulics as well, InterTechno Lambada has a few pictures of their transfer case that connects 4 V8 engines to the rear, kinda cool to look at :)
Those jets r the shit when they hook they hook there was one called the bluemax i saw it at fairs in the 80,s and early 90 she always placed top 5 or won like to know wat happened 2it
The tractor weights the same in all classes? Because the hundred thousands of dollar jet tractors all lost to most of the super stock pickup trucks. I'm confused
