This pattern is useful for both prospect fishing and matching the Green Caddis and Grannom caddis hatches. The ostrich herl body will move in the water as will the hen soft-hackled collar and antennae. This fly can be fished both dry and wet and adjusted to do so by the amount of wing material you use as well as if you treat it with floatant or not. The EP Trigger Point Fibers are treated to be water resistant and will help the fly float well on it's own. Then you can always fish it wet as a diving egg layer or sunken adult by pulling it underwater on the presentation and letting it drift sub-surface. Try fishing it dead drifted, with small strips or twitches, Figure-8 retrieved and released or on the swing. They all work and give the fly different appearances to match the appropriate behavior of the natural caddis life stages.
