Who's watching this couple again in 2020? Found them years ago and loved them. Shipping on the new couple, Vanity now. So similar with the feels and the humor is unmatched.
By accident or maybe not 😁 ,in Nov 2019. Still watching. Everytime I notice a gesture I missed. From a touch of a hand to a slight smile. A luminous look from their eyes. A tilt of their head. Those little things , that I hope , some one will give me. Guessing I'm an old fool. Like them I have faith. After this isolation, watch out ladies in Puerto Rico. Its now 2021 and im still watching..lol.. I found them back in 2009 and was hooked. Met them that year too and Crystal (Olivia) again 10 yrs later in 2019 . She's amazing..they both are..

Just discovered this couple. Even though I watched GL, I was working so much I missed this. It's such an incredible story and couple. This so good for 2021 too. Wonderful!
I love this; great job! I miss Otalia.. I've watched so many soaps and series but I've yet to see a couple so amazing and unique as Otalia was. The storyline was perfect except the no kissing rule obviously haha. But well they will always be my favourite!
I occasionally think I exaggerate in my mind how rare and beautiful the relationship between Olivia and Natalia was and then an epic video like this reinforces that this is best lesbian storyline ever created (in film, tv or books).

Watching in 2021 and still love them. I love Crystal and Jessica, Otalia and GiAni. The only thing that would've made the Otalia story better was if they had been allowed to kiss.

Miss them so much, too! Recently remarked on AfterEllen of (paraphrase) "Most Impactful Lesbian Storylines on TV": NO other show has ever shown a lesbian reconciling her Christian faith w/ her sexuality. Natalia FTW, Otalia 4 Ever!!!!
NEITHER of them were lesbian! They weren't attracted to *women*, but ONLY to each other. Both of them said these feelings were, "new & different & scary". That's not something one would say if one had always been same-sex attracted. When one of them eventually dies, I don't think they will EVER have another relationship b/c it would be a step down, but they are both basically heterosexual. The power of this story is that they are the great love of the other's life, despite their sex. It's a LOVE story, not a LABEL story. Lesbian is just a label. People are a lot more complex than labels. Even bisexual wouldn't describe these women. Natalia is Oliviasexual & Olivia is Nataliasexual. That, and Natalia being a person of faith, whose religion is treated with nuance & respect are the 2 things that make their love story unique & so compelling! There are women today who are married to other women b/c of Otalia! This wasn't some big "coming out" story. It was just a love story between 2 people, both of whom happen to be women. That's why it has such universal appeal, with fans who are of all sexual orientations, - both women & men. It's not a lesbian or gay story. It's a human story of sacrificial & redeeming love, forgiveness, faith, & character growth and evolution.
ITA! No story before or since has EVER shown a devout Christian woman who has no conflict between her faith & being in love w/another woman. Natalia is a unique character. Father Ray confronted Natalia at least 3 times about her relationship w/ Olivia being wrong & every time N defended their relationship. She even quoted scripture on at least 2 occasions. She never let go of either her faith or Olivia, despite pressure to do so. So yeah,- Natalia FTW! To my knowledge, there is no other character like her in all of TV, film, or print.

Whether it’s Otalia, Venice or The Grove, I love it all! It’s not about gay or straight, but about this love these women have for each other. It’s incredible! Ahhh...the memories. Nothing like a good ole fashioned 2 year love story arc. That was THE one advantage to the no real kissing rule. They couldn't do wham bam thank you ma'ams storyline...heh They had to do the real soap story telling and no short cuts!
@@SKULPTRESS61 If you are talking about Otalia, they also still have Emma, not just Francesca!! Don't leave out Jellybean, who was so instrumental in getting her mommies together in the first place and keeping them together.
I'm sure they are going to stay together until one of them dies & that they will both be faithful to the other & those are the 2 things that matter. Same sex marriage was only legal in a limited number of states in 2009. They could still get legal papers (Wills, Living Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for financial & medical decisions) to protect each other, even if they weren't legally married. Any couple can have a wedding. What counted w/ Otalia was what they DID, not just what they SAID. And if P & G wouldn't even allow them to kiss, they certainly wouldn't allow a wedding ceremony. It would have alienated a large part of the GL audience, even those who may not have liked a same-sex love story at first but had been gradually coming around to supporting the couple because of they loved each other so much, and each woman made the other better. This was especially true of Natalia's effect on Olivia. Olivia was transformed by Natalia's love and her love of Natalia. That is a far better love story than ANY of Olivia's MANY wedding ceremonies & legal marriages that ended in heartbreak & divorce. I'm sure that once same-sex marriage became the Law of the Land in the U.S. 7 years later, Otalia would have applied for a marriage license & gotten legally married. They may even have a wedding ceremony some day. But in Natalia's mind, they are already married b/c Natalia believes sex outside of marriage is wrong (sex w/o loving the person & being committed to them) & in her "proposal" she told Olivia, "I want to be with you for the rest of my life."
