Regarding recruiting strategy: it seems that relationship and fit are paramount and FSU has specific lists they keep over years to target the same players in transfer portal. Like many 5 stars went to or flipped in 24 cycle to UF, Georgia, Miami. If fsu wins those kids may come back. In recruiting terms, that may be a Recruit.
Hykeem was a 5 star but took 1-2 years to get ready. How long for these 2 players to contribute? Or is it because the room is largely unknown and the bar is relatively lower, compared to Hykeem competing with Keon and Johnny?
Speaking of USC FSU recruiting battles, does anyone know why Jason Zandamela tranferred from USC to UF? Was that an NIL issue? And why transfer to UF and not FSU?
There was talk that FSU had a lower interest level… not sure if it was NIL directly - as opposed to numbers and not wanting to upset the room (which has the impact of lowering NIL as an indirect consequence). But regardless of the reason, FSU never really pushed hard to even get him on campus the second time around.
