Arsenal has one of, if not the best disciplinary record last year. To have 3 red cards in 8 games for such innocuous incidents is an extremely disproportionate punishment for a club with such a clean record over the last year or so. Dangerous challenges should be punished harshly, but these ridiculously soft red cards are doing nothing for the quality, reputation or fairness of the sport.
Not similar at all. Covering defender was right next to Tosin. Acknowledgment is the first step in rectifying these mistakes. We need to take accountability.
@@therecanbeonlyone801 Not similar at all? Haha, really? He was the LAST Chelsea defender and had he not made the foul the Liverpool player he would have been through on goal. Whether covering defender would have caught Jota is completely subjective and he was behind him when the foul occurred. The ONLY difference in those 2 situations is the distance of covering defender. In what universe does that make it "not similar at all"?
I really dont understand whats going on with all those questionable desicions. 3 questionable red cards in 8 games, utter incosistency of referees decisions, allowed questionable goals for other teams (city vs wolves, also remember kovacic no red card because referee did not want to "break the game"). What the hell is going on? And why, whenever i watch a UCL game, i have never even have a reason to think similarly?
I think people also forget that if the refs were as 'consistent' as they are with us with our competitors there should have been 8 red cards for them too but there have been 0. Absolutely ridiculous, pgmol are either corrupt or completely incompetent and i side toward corruption
I hope they appeal that red card. It was questionable when it happened and I accepted it but when a similar challenge happened the next day in the Liverpool-Chelsea game, with no call to VAR monitor after the yellow card was brandished, I was fuming. These red card are not for any dangerous play, these are all questionable red cards… when they talk about Arsenal records under Arteta in 10 years and these red cards come up, you’d think our players were snapping opponents legs in half.
@@cluckingbell1772 what’s your point? Would you rather get a new manager to take another 5 years to get it right or continue with Arteta, who’s half way there. I understand we want to win something but he’s our best bet at the moment.
watching quite a lot of academy games this season, wilshere really turn the style of our boys from individualistic into a team of players. feel that it would be a great changes towards integrating any talented player to first team in future. Really excited to see if wilshere has what it takes to take control of any other club's first team
As much as we like to criticize Arsenal and arteta, we have to note how unlucky they have been. Because they have done more than any other team that have won the league, but somehow, man city just edge past them. They really have done alot.
Completely disagree, arsenal dont go all the way they play too safe when they need to win games. Liverpool constantly attack and should have beaten man city last season if it wasn't for Micheal Oliver, arsenal score and park the bus you not winning leagues like that sorry.
@ilovenathi2082 how about not being defeated in 2024 until now?how about finishing with 89 points last season, which is what Man City used to win the league in 2022/2023 season. If guardiola isn't here, Arsenal would have been celebrated for winning two epl trophies.
3 red cards in 8 matches is totally unacceptable, we dropped points as a result of that as we can’t seem to concentrate and get back into the rhythm of things once a red card is shown, proper discipline needs to be brought in so players can’t do it again. We should never have lost to Bournemouth, and Trossard (a red card offender already this reason) was the key part in doing what he did to put pressure on Saliba. Trossard to come off the bench from now on as when he starts, he is not the same player. We need to sort this and we move. COYG!
This is a immense coach and manager ...I trust him to pass on the right message to the players for the next game to get them back on the winning track.
@@anslemanthony-s6c he know that? what's happened at his team , but I didn't blaming Arteta ,at all, regard the red card...or the bad starting lineup.. yesterday's.. i mean, it will get better Right it?. Just accept anything and improved as well! They can solve it!! Trust me.
Arteta you made the context difficult. You made an awful tactical decision by bringing in Kiwior. Arteta should've moved Ben White to Saliba's position and moved Partey to right back. Then bring in Nwaneri - a creative midfielder in place of Sterling.
I actually think he should have taken off trossard instead of sterling. Cause it was trossard who played that horrendous back pass to saliba and in the first few minutes of the game sterling was arguably our best player. Trossard was a disappointment in that entire match
Don't think we can appeal for Saliba's red. It is deserved. The fan base is just confused due to similar incidents in other games being passed with yellow.
I think there’s a legitimate reason to appeal based upon the fact that Chelsea didn’t get a red card . However, I expect to hear is that Chelsea should’ve got a red card.
while i can agree with this red card, the main problem is referees inconsistency with their decisions. What options do we have to influence referees decisions except appeals?
There's nothing to appeal Colwill was next to him when that incident happen, while Saliba was on his own, now see the difference of not giving Chelsea a red or people still want to act delusional
In Italy match fixing was done via the referee appointment system. They allocated referees sympathetic to Juventus to games involving their rivals, and used various things like yellow cards to affect results. The MANCHESTER referee Chris Kavanagh is very sympathetic to Man City. Michael Oliver is paid by the Man City owners to officiate in Abu Dhabi. Both referees have been extremely harsh to Arsenal but sympathetic to City. 1. Rice sending off (Kavanagh) 2. Trossard sending off (Oliver v City) 3. Failure to send off Kovacic (Oliver v City) 4. Kavanagh on VAR letting Kane escape a. red card tackle on Robertson which cost Liverpool points in a season where City won the PL by one point. It is supsicious and needs journalists to look into. Kavanagh and Oliver should not be on City games or their PL rivals because they are biased.
Our attacking threat isn’t at the level of title winning sides. Liverpool and Man City’s attack is more potent. Our defense is better but not if we keep playing with 10 men.
@@andrewwright4195 you have to take into account the difficulty of fixtures and the fact they played three out of 8 games with 10 men. Liverpool have had an easier run so far - haven’t played any major away games. No goals conceded in CL this season either.
Clubs need to start investing in private investigators to dig up dirt on referees, they feel too untouchable. Imagine the Chief Refereeing Officer of the pgmol interfering with the VAR team to get them to give the maximum penalty for an offence that was given the secondary penalty just 24hrs later. The biggest problem is the rival fans who always jump to their defence.
I don’t think we should appeal because it will only make things worse. No doubt we are being dealt with for a reason. All we need to do is make sure the boys play with caution knowing they are different from others. I just don’t know how much it will affect their overall concentration. Hopefully our injured player come back soon.
True, we didn’t play well. We played 3 holding midfielders- Rice, Merino, Partey- no creativity. Haven said that, I believe this manager. 11v11 we will not lose. We just have to cut out these errors.
@@setzz69it’s so sad to see how we’ve regressed from a high pressing team that dominates possession to a mid block of 4 CB’s and 3 holding midfielders who turn like fridges 😢
the appealing can help in the future fixtures and surely wont be before the liverpool fixture considering that the pgmol has issues with the club already, appealing it would make it even worse and it wont change the outcome of the bourne match
We need to unleash Nwanari. He did more in 5 mins, at the weekend, than Merino did the whole game. Also when Saliba was sent off, Merino should have been taken off, not Sterling. If it was Saka playing, no way would have he been the one to come off. Arteta is a fantastic coach but he got that wrong.
I am an Arsenal fan! Saliba incident was a red card but why not the same for Tosin challenge on Jota!! Inconsistency in refereeing. Howard webb to be sacked from his position!!
Losing games in 6 months means we should have a trophy, or we should have enough points on board to be on the top 2 position. Where is your process past all the years we talked about. It's been too long since you joined, and we are not at the level.114 points required in 38 games, and we are well getting shorter in 8 games as of now.Red cards rules are not emphasize to all player's in the squad.
Arteta is a fraud period. I don't understand why we allow hm keep lying. He likes to play over people's mind look like he's doing something great. It's a matter of time. He has spent almost one billion in 5yrs no trophy. Asernal needs players no striker and mid fielders attacking
Arsenal Wenger won titles with 10 men, cone layer has 115 excuses for why he can't manage a team to create more than 1 effort on target in 94 mins and beat Bournemouth with them My Cone Layer ❤
Arteta to be frank with you we need a number 9 like oshemen that will grantee us winning the EPL Kai is good but he can’t give us what Hallan is giving to city
If I am Kroenke I will close down this football club and invest in USA there is no need us to represent this league any more. 3 red cards in 8 games for what? Curtis Johns kicked the ball twice of a Chelsea free kick and what he has given? Gravenbech constantly fouling and stopping the counter attacks and how many cards he got yesterday? English referees and FA are a complete joke and there is no ex arsenal players fights tooth and nails for our cases like Carragher, Keane, Sturridge and Neville fights for their club. Theo walcott is scared to speak his mind against Jamie Redknapp.
If I'm Kroenke I'll continue to rinse the gullible fans by charging them the highest prices on the planet to see failure and hire a clueless cone layer to win fcuk all for another 4 years again Easy money
Stop excuses Mikel. We love u but u lack experience tp handle difficult times. Our team is lacking fluidity n creativity especially in the final third. Kindl play Nwaneri. Barcelona trusted Yamal at 16 and he has never disappointed. Its commonsense
Chelsea Liverpool game Liverpool are winning by 2 goals to 1 ….a Liverpool player kicked the ball no yellow card…..Howard wed said bcuz we’re winning…..so we deserved a yellow card….so why not Liverpool
A100% Foul throw led to corner that Cherries scored from. They made 3 foul throws and arsenal made 2 also, All went unnoticed by terrible ref. Ben white gets punished for timewasting. If there was consistency both teams wouid have got yellows for timewasting and delaying also. Useless. Ref gave free kicks for 3 not fouls. Zero consistency.
Mikel you have reached your peak at Arsenal, therefore you're not the manager to get us over the line......Time to bring in a manager with a proven track record of winning big trophies.
Title is gone..finished..this is evident from how referees shown on the devotions of Rice and Rossard..the title is been bought yet again by paying the high authorities of football
One fa cup. Two 2nd place finishes all from a postion that everyone aclnowledged was a club going backwards, and a fanbase out of their collective minds. Now there is unity in most of the fanbase accept outliers like yourself who suffer a kind of delusion. Supporting a club is not just about winning its about enduring the pain of not winning and seeing the roots of success taking hold. NORTH LONDON FOREVER.
