I love Sara Seager! She is an inspiration to everyone! I cried when she talked about her life and husband on the Lex Fridman podcast on YT. Keep reaching for those planets Sara, we're right with there you !
What’s the relarionship between stars and the formation of planets? We have at least 9 and there are signs some of them may have had life form. If those stars also have planets and it must because to my mind the stars for Sri on naturally pulls star dust towards it and it’s inevitable they coalesce and form o,nets like our solar system did.
Here's a nice link to Eyes on Exoplanets (web application) : exoplanets.nasa.gov/eyes-on-exoplanets/#/ Here's a nice link to the downloadable desktop version (page where you can click to download the desktop app): eyes.jpl.nasa.gov/exoplanets
Of course they are millions of exoplanets in our universe … the problem is not finding them if if there life in there … the problem is we don’t have the technology to even reach the closets star to our solar system we are so small … perhaps we never gonna be able to reach one of those planets
AWESOME that she wasn't afraid to highlight the very troubling & pathetic problem of MILLENIAL pieces of shit that believe they deserve everything & shouldn't work for it.
Alchemy, its original meaning ,” Kemet” Black land of EYGPT. Melanin My skin composed of the same elements the sun, stars plantes, plants. My message: most need technology, and words ,complicated elements and yet you still have no understanding. Daily, I sit in my back yard look into the sun from my own observatory harnest energy comprising of Geometric shapes, Quantum leap beyond the wheel, kingdom to kingdom infinite vibrations in 0.0 seconds! Your time. Melanin, trapped light allows this. Bring American,(Blacks) to the table to advance as one civilization! Or continue receiving mimicking simulations, the reason your kind are still millions years counter clock wise mutations, rats, monkeys ect. your call!
Sara is an erudite scholar in her field, but somewhat closed, the result of over-specialisation. She should wear a trousers, she's far too fidgety with her skirt. On a scientific note, there's so much missing in her analysis, clearly signalling the ground on which she's built her base hypothesis has to be flawed.
@@macioluko9484 you know, I'm not sure. There's so much space based entertainment out there that you'd think the people in charge would understand the popularity of this subject. I'm 28 so I'm not that far removed from highschool and I gotta say it's also might be the level of math involved. Probably could only teach this in an AP class
@@FlimsyIndo I'm not talking about calculations of light years and chemistry equations about some distant atmosphere. I'm talking about sharing the kind of information that is shared in a talk like this.
@@FlimsyIndo Yes. As opposed to "Home Room" where nothing happens;) Bescially carve out 30 mins/month to keep the youth excited about these discoveries.
Is it not so simple as to say planets that form small do so because the amount of material in their accretion area is 1. Limited or 2. Pulled out of its zone by another body. It seems there basic to me but that would fit the model would it not?
The opening short movie "Wanderers" gave me goosebumps. Im totally bummed I will not be around when those amazing deep space missions take place. What a treat future generations are in for! But,,,alll is not lost. We still live in amazing times! Heck we sent probe to touch the Sun and another to blast past Pluto!
So Sara, I studied Astronomy, and I have a very good understanding of time, space, distance and stars and their makeup, and all of those goodies. I was in the category of total non believer based on time and distance. But now, after the Phoenix Lights and Nimitz encounters and all, I am really leaning towards the possibility of them being here? I mean, no matter how advanced, they would still have to defeat and obey the same laws of physics that we do? One thing we must consider is perhaps a probe has been sent, ie, unmanned? Or perhaps their life expectancy is far longer than ours, making it not essential to reproduce on the space craft like we have comprehended? But, we have no proof yet. But there are some remarkable events that have occurred. I always believed that likely something else is out there. I just did not believe it was possible to get here. If you do not understand distance in outer space, I suggest you learn about astronomical units and such.
“Know thou that every fixed star hath its own planets, and every planet its own creatures, whose number no man can compute." (The Prophet Bahá’u’lláh, d.1892, Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, pp. 162-163)
An intangible mind is impossible, sorry! The mind is the functioning of the brain! (Just as the eyes are used to see, the ears to hear ...). There is no afterlife and your god does not exist, sorry.
