Let's take a look beyond the Jedi & Sith- at the other canon Force-based religions in the Star Wars galaxy. #starwars #starwarsfan #starwarslore #theforce #force #jedi #sith #maytheforcebewithyou #lore #facts #canon
Thank you all for the support on my videos!! I am so happy you enjoy them. Let me know what you think about this one - and feel free to suggest video ideas too!
A video exploring and talking about Marchion Ro and the Nihil's backstory would be really cool!! I feel like a lot of people dismiss the Nihil as being pretty lame, but there's so much more to them that what people think (also we need more THR content on youtube)
Loved this one man! I consider myself a massive Star Wars fan and there was stuff in here that even I didn’t know. It’s just so refreshing to see such a well put together Star Wars channel that appreciates TLJ and the sequels instead of constantly attacking them. Also the editing is on point dude! Much respect to all the hard work you’re putting into these. Looking forward to what’s next!
I’m a big fan of the exploration of various different religions that we’ve been getting lately. I’ll note that one of fairly relevant one you’ve missed here was the Lasat. How they believe in the Ashla or “spirit of the galaxy”. Which I only mention given its importance to Rebels.
Another amazing video from this channel! Your subject matter, presentation, and obvious passion for this franchise is commendable. One suggestion for a Force-based religion you didn't mention: the Narkis Anchorites of Jedha that we see in Jedi: Survivor. Particularly since the ending of Survivor implies that we may see more of them in the third Jedi game.
My headcanon on religions is every planet formed their religions long before becoming space-worthy (or having space-worthy peoples visiting them), and when Force Sensitives were born, they became saints, miracle-workers, and otherwise special. Then those aforementioned spacers come, and Jedi visit, and tell them they (the Jedi) use the Force, and what their Special People do is the same, and so their religion is how they perceived the Force. After that, maybe they take the wordage of the Jedi on, or maybe they keep their own, but accept Jedi word that it is the same. That is, if it is Light Side and they don't get into a fight with the Jedi. This is also how I imagine Outer Rim cultures who almost never see Jedi work. Force Sensitives may figure out a few tricks, though unless they are near one of the Force religions you give in this video... maybe they call the Force "The Wind", and say the Wind is directing them.
Great video! I really like your visuals. My favorite underrated Force religion is that of the Ewoks, who have both light and dark side-following shamans
Jedha is kind of analogous to Jerusalem, being a city of major importance to multiple religions and being in a desert region. This was a great video! The Sorcerers of Tund sound cool, if only because they can apparently use Force Fire, which since they're Light aligned in canon could make it sort of an opposite to Force Lightning or Nightsister magic if you think about it 🤔
You did a great job at talking about most of the force religions! One you did forget was the Brotherhood of the Ninth Door, who used the Dark Side to change their appearance. I thought they were big standouts in the Battle of Jedha audiobook.
AM a huge fan of the entire star wars regions l think it's so cool they are other species can use the force as part of their culture or their entire culture
My personal favorite wasn't mentioned here, being the Baran Do. They're a group of Kel Dor sages who train to predict storms on their homeworld of Dorin. In legends Plo Koon held dual membership in both the Jedi and Baran Do orders.
I'm so glad you mentioned the Path of the Open Hand. I'm currently re-listening to the High Republic novels on Audible while waiting for Temptation of the Force (in chronological order this time) and I'm listening to Path of Deceit at the moment. I really love the Path of the Open Hand as antagonists. It's a breath of fresh air to have a Force-related group of antagonists in Star Wars that's not dark siders. And the Fandom Menace is claiming that the High Republic is creatively bankrupt...🙄
Great video! I really enjoyed it! Only ones I can think of that would be missing are the Brotherhood of the Ninth door and potentially the Mudwellers and Rockhawkers from Yoda's secret war, as they use "Stonepower." Not as sure that'd be considered a religion though as it's mainly just using the Force still.
Outstanding! The Force is strong in this channel and every new video proves it. You've got a good thing going here and it's getting better all the time. Interesting content, great delivery, keep it up man, we love you!
@@StarWarsCentralized Potato po-tah-to. Whether it's fiction or not is 100% beside the point. And sorry to burst your bubble but sorry but the EU IS the true canon as confirmed by Lucas himself. So stuff that Kennedy releases just know she's a big FAT LIAR
@@MrWill9002"There's my world, which is the movies, and there's this other world that has been created, which I say is the parallel universe-the licensing world of the books, games and comic books. " "I don't read that stuff. I haven't read any of the novels. I don't know anything about that world. That's a different world than my world." "And now there have been novels about the events after Episode VI, which isn't at all what I would have done with it." "Once Vader dies, the Emperor doesn't get cloned and Luke doesn't get married..." Legends isnt canon never was. Cope i guess
