I have been watching EDHblvd, he is quite informative. But to be hones its very difficult to make boot related content with out falling into advertising territory. Lot of people out there making just that 'adds' I do think the boot community in youtube needs to expand and educate more than sell a brand. Thank you for making this upload.
I like Almost Vintage Style. He sounds deranged sometimes, but he fits perfectly into his channel name. Also he has the most impressive collection of fine garments and boots I've seen.
I really like it when they are trying to convince you that Thursday Boots are better than, oh say, Red Wing Iron Rangers, Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots, Alden Indy Boots........... I wash dishes at Panda Express. In a typical double shift, where they pay me below the prevailing wage and do not pay overtime, my shoes are exposed to heat, moisture, chemicals, and the occasional piece of cutlery falling on them. Not to mention all the tears from my eyes, and the blood that I am sweating. And even I know better, than to compare Thursday Boots to anything other than maybe Lugz, Skechers, Dr. Scholl's, Rockport, or something sold at Kohl's.
Great content, I've been watching most of those especially almost vintage style, you shoe, well I saw Babbling boots that didn't go consistent upload, and awaiting on what's next after you sold some of your pairs of boots. planning for upgrading to a higher elite tier?
I have also watched QLT before a bit but I don't recall if I found overtly helpful or whate'er, but yes, your dive into PNW was not the more typical popular models for certain occupations and all that.
I like those vint jackets and stuff, I just can't fit in any those sizes he gets. And likely wouldn't wish t' pay so much as he might for most o' them.
You've got to wonder........ This other content creator went to India, to interview the owner of a shoe factory and showcase their products. Was he such a fanatic, that he spent money out of his own pocket to fly to India, so that he can share his love of shoes with the world? As if any one of us could show up at the factory's front door, ring the bell, and the owner will personally usher us around. Or did the shoe company pay him to fly there and produce an advertisement? The viewers know the difference. These carnival barkers are not fooling us into buying Indian shoes.
@@sheckydiamond7533 Actually Nick from Stridewise is a full time journalist with a huge website. He goes to various places as part of his other life. As a journo with a big website, and big subs, he could write in advance and get an audience. With my moderate subs, I email brands and do get the opportunity to interview - albeit by Zoom - owners and CEOs. It makes for more honest info availability if you can get away with it. It’s not what you do IMO but what honesty you can give during the doing.
