The lack of reasons for doing anything other than boss fights is only part of the problem. The whole final month of the season needs to be redesigned. The player base plummets each season after Otherworld Exploration starts. That's because managing up to 15 teams and boss fights every day is a fulltime job. It sucks the enjoyment out of the game. I'm sure it's not so bad if you've spent a lot of money, got OP heroes and gear and can just set up your timings and let it run on auto with guaranteed massive damage. For everyone else it's a lot more work to try and maximise your results. So people just stop playing. Things need to change, but I honestly don't hold out a lot of hope. S3 has been a major disappointment, following on from a very underwhelming S2. The fact that they've allowed the Rook situation to continue for the entire season really doesn't bode well for the future of this game.
I can't agree more. Also think about all the people that don't even realize you can have more then 1 team per boss. There losing out on rank just because the system design tells you to do the quest and dungeons everyday not 15 boss fights.
In my opinion devs should restrict all the players to using only 6 teams to fight bosses, similar like with continental challenges but daily instead of weekly and maybe keep dmg leaderboard all the way to the end of the season. I'm not sure if that would solve the problem but that way noone is gonna focus only on making 15 teams and doing only bosses but players probably would do other activities as well in otherwold exploration.
They do this on s0 n s1 if im not mistaken. But lately they did not restrict it. It giv bonus to old player & whales. I kinda demotivated since the story is very short n didn't offer a good storyline at all. We are all rushing on the 1st day to finish the story just to do get the otherworldly daily. Thats kinda a let down for this season.
I'm in season 3, this is the point in the game I stop playing. I have yet to hit 10k on any of these bosses. Besides that trying to equip 15 teams is too daunting to me so I give up until next season.
I don't think it's necessarily unfair, competition needs to be based on something and spenders will always have the upper hand. But in this current status it is just a nonsense
F2p players should do the 4 quests daily for the 10 wyrm imo since your not going to be top dog anyway. Doing 10 teams 1 dungeon 4 quest daily will be enough to buy out the shop in the season rewards. My issue is the quest and dungeon rewards should give more to reward players for doing them.
@@Joshuabeez i wouldnt suggest that. If say 30 f2p players are aiming for top 300 and theyre doing 15 boss battles and ur doing less than them they might take ur spot. In the end, the purpose of this end season event is to finalize seasonal rankings. If ur not interested in that then yeah the wyrmarrows definitely helps.
Last boss is where you would make up for that. Also I don't see people f2p rank 300 clearing 22mil with 15 teams sure as we continue to get more seasons if no changes that will happen which is why there needs to be a change. But a lot of lower rank players don't even know you can exceed 6 teams. I guess servers really make the difference every season I lose 30 ranks just because of the merge with more whales. If everything stays like it is now and everyone does the 15 teams then only vortex and final boss will matter anyway. I would like to see the rewards for quest and dungeon increased that's all.
Yeah we could see that if this keep repeating in all season it will definitely be boring and people will lose interest.. They need to maybe just retweak the ranking system for the end game like you guys said get more points after 22mil and be at the higher rank if deal more. Or maybe a secondary boss to do an Aliance challenge system which we have to compete the total score and get the extra points or scoring, if they are really going to merge all server then this Alliance challenge will really help. Or maybe small extra tower defence like during season 1. Just suggesting~
Also it gives you choice, if you have time, you arrange teams for shadow bossess, if you dont have time you do more adventure and domain quests. And you also progress
I try to understand your position. But the game is all about rolling new hearoes each season, creating new composition of teams and play with them. You can use preset, run teams during your morning/evening routine, you dont have to watch it closely. Just focus on save moment
@@krzysztofkluz9016 First of you have to pay for an additional 15 team slots. So either you delete all your other teams for other content, or you pay. Secondly, not everyone has an hour + to spare to run teams continuously. Make the duration shorter or require fewer teams. Thirdly, there is no other content to work on. PvP is autorun and that's it. They need to add other content that requires people to actually play the game rather than click on a button every 5 mins for hours on end. There is more content in AFK Journey.... which is supposed to be an AFK game than in this one.
@@LSmallCatL what I heared AFK Journay have much less content end game at later stage. Even player was mentioned that compared to that, Dragonheir is much better developed. Don't watch S3, it was change of publisher time. Look forward on S4/S5 what will bring
@@krzysztofkluz9016 I'm in endgame... there is more variations of content to do than in Dragonheir. Where was the new content in season 2? Where is the compensation for the lackluster season 2 and 3? Have you seen a roadmap that would get us excited for season 4? It's not difficult to provide all of that considering it's a video game and you can create rewards from of nothing. We've seen how the epic chest has been promised since season 1 and I'm still waiting for something so simple as an item added in the shop.
I'm glad i sold my account. This game is nothing but a cash grab. Everything they put work in is intended to make money. They don't care about the players opinion as long as the cash flows. At this moment in time i am sure non of all the content creators would play this game if it wasn't for the money they get to promote the game.
You can "postpone" a season by signing out on the final day of your season 2, and not signing in again until your season 4 will have started for example, this will put you into season 3 but 3 months later

I signed out of this garbage “endgame”. Everyone is doing 15 teams to get max points. They should limit the bosses to 5 and fill the rest with other activities. Bosses shouldn’t take 5min… make it 1 min, same for vortex as it’s not engaging to watch a team run for minutes upon minutes with 0 input.
Outlook not good. I'm in season 2, and I feel expendable since they updated season 1 instead. And season 3 doesn't seem as hype compared to all the Content CC's are releasing from the new Season 1. They should have focused their energy on season 3 rather than season 1. I'm a spender, and with all the spoils of the season 1 update, I feel cheated. I wouldn't start a new account because I have already invested money in my current account. If I knew, I would have waited until the recent season1 updates before adopting this game. It is not rewarding to be an early player. Even for content creators it's a mess as all the content they created previously for season1 is useless since the New update. This is such a pitty because the gameplay is good, just the Season System is burning a good game. They should at least allow older players to bounce around the seasons they have already completed and collect the latest rewards.
@@VanHornGaming The point is, when I go to Season 3, I didn't get the spoils of the previous seasons. Just like season 3 players when they go to season 4. They won't receive the extra spoils from season 1,2 and 3. Meaning it will always suck to be an early player. Older players will always have a weaker experience than newer players. Anyhow, I'm a season 2 player, how do I take , my account to season 1?
if the goal of the creators is to cater to the player base that pays then it's working as intended. The top alliances in otherworld go for the leader boards. The casual players will do the daily quests. Every season they offer pay 2 win solutions. Zeffi and Oggok in season 2, Rook in season 3. What you have pointed out is the reality of the game, not the illusion that they are selling. RNG was always about luck of the dice, if you don't care for luck then you throw money at it. Not everyone is going to throw 15 teams together, because that takes time. What's taking it's toll is the incessant repetitiveness at the end of the season that is horribly boring just to earn scrolls and dice so we can do it all again. But the content creators are just as guilty for egging it on. How many of you started new season one accounts to play with all the rewards they gave to new players. How many players followed you guys and started new accounts. the cycle keeps continuing.
I think the system is working. Becouse it gives a player f2p way to be competitive with whales. If someone will put more time, prepare with resources, he may do more points during the otherworld exploration period. And this is the most exciting moments, which place do we score at end of season? F2P have a chance to score higher compared to the whales who have almost full set of heros, becouse they put extreme amount money in game to get them, but whales may not necessarly put time into game. Which some f2p will surely put effort and time into the game. That's why I think this mechanic is great than we think. Also, look at this, s3 give additional mechanic and system that allow you to got to the vortex, push more resources into hunting mythic or allow you to spent the same resources on lvling teams. That's even greater mechanics and free will into the game they gave us. This is more strategic game now than before. That's why I love this system. I hope they will not change the things that is currently working, but they will think and maybe add something more to give additional ways of playing
