I don't think anyone who didn't live on the internet between 2014-17 can realize how crazy hearing this song can be. It was the equivalent to The Undertaker's bell for youtube careers.
You made me feel old with your comment lol. It reminded me of a video I saw a few months ago where the guy said "for those who are too young to remember the Marina Joyce situation..." and I was like "Huh? But that's like still kinda recent, right?" but no, it was like 7 or 8 years ago
Nah. 2016 was kind of evil. And the effects from that time lingered into 2017. I'd say 2009-2015 RU-vid was pretty awesome. Especially the let's play era. That was just all cozy vibes straight up. And personally it had the right blend of content.
@umamifan nah that's a bad year. Horrible president, housing crisis, high prices on everything and youtube wasn't even kicking off like it was in 2016. It's your opinion but it's a bad one. 2016 was the best
@@toxicpanda092016 was the adpocalypse, the rise of “social experiment” pranksters harassing people for views, toxicity running rampant as creators started to go insane with vapid drama, politics became inescapable and found its way into nearly every facet of the internet, and more people started to make vids for money, not just for fun as the focus shifted when people realized that you could actually make a living on there. No era is perfect, but imo 2016 wasn’t that good. There’s no need to call my opinion bad tho, that’s just weird. Just agree to disagree bro.
With how long it’s been since the content cop era of youtube, revisiting this song brings a sort of nostalgic melancholy that hits you right in the chest. Seems like everything’s changed since then.
Captrad says the one with Mr. Meseeks with colored teeth as their profile picture and the name "Captrad". More like Cancertrap. GTFO the internet if you can't handle it.
Bro i been getting into this music since i was like 7 lol, this song is so nostalgic, this my personal favourite fr, you a big inspiration bro, keep it up
After years and years, I've finally managed to find this song today by watching an old minecraft video. It was very difficult and painful to find it. I had tried every possible way. But now, it's finally over. Thank you Otis McDonald for creating this masterpiece. Keep doing music man. Your musics are so decent ❤.
I know idubbbz is distancing himself from the Content Cop days, and I get it, but I still think most of those videos were pretty good at calling out shitty behavior and channels, and the dude made a few poignant points. Either way, miss those days, and this is a fantastic song.
