Guitar Player magazine writes, “Otis Taylor is arguably the most relevant blues artist of our time.” We agree. The Denver-based master of trance blues has returned to Telluride, this time with an outfit he calls the Psychedelic Banjo Posse. This will be incredible. His recorded output sees him taking an unflinching view of the African-American experience in the US, making him as much a historian as a musician. The banjo - imported to these shores from Africa during the slave trade - has always been celebrated in his music. This iteration of his musical vision will be an illuminating trip into history and Otis’ unique take on the blues.
Watch his entrancing performance of “Ran So Hard The Sun Went Down” live from the 2019 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival Main Stage.
