same experience. not a swimmer. However, I remembered that before I go to sleep, my internal ear is so itchy and I put my finger inside. then the next morning, I'm in awful pain 🤦
Last week the ent took wax out of my left ear and then saw some hair on my ear drum and plucked it out with a tool. It hurt. Now it's all inflamed and another ent looked in and said I have otitis externa and he prescribed neomycin/polymyxin B/Hydrocortisone drops. But I have very tiny canals and if I put these drops in my ear canal, it will clog up, making me very uncomfortable and possibly dizzy. I may just wait and see if it gets better on its own. He said it could, but it could also get worse. No puss, no fever, no diabetes. I'm 71....
