Otrain line 2 testing, Stadler Flirts and Alstom Lints

thats true, although I think its good to get the new stock and it has many benefits, would be cool to see the talent though.

It's diesel electric, meaning it has diesel motors which give power to electric traction motors.

Thanks, I dont think we'll get bayview - airport direct until the line is fully double tracked, but the lines should re-open in june - august

@@SkysTrainsoh ok, I see it must’ve been single tracked until they started expanding the line 2 by replacing all train service with buses. Is that correct?

No not really, the diesel generators are pretty quiet and the traction motors aren't too loud, they still squeak a bit at points and sharp curves though. Next time I get the chance I'll try and get one at full speed and see how loud it'll be then.

@@SkysTrains thanks for the reply! glad to know the noise doesn't seem to be too bad (at least externally). Hope the internal noise won't be too bad.

@@hugoshlim Reece @RMTransit has a good video of the interior in motion from summer 2022, in the video they appear to be really quiet, except for in the power pack where it's a little louder.
