Traveling on the road a lot, it’s best to trailer with a cover. Your boat stays clean on long road trips and the carpet isn’t covered in road grime. It can be a pain to put your cover on by yourself though. Check out how I make it a lot easier with a simple tip.

I had a buddy show me that technique several years ago. He said basically you are rolling the dirty side to the dirty side and not on the inside! I like the extra fold to make it smaller!

I really like that cover. Mine is one that came from BPS I think it was a whopping $150 or something. It works but not great. You get what you pay for.

I don’t. It is a custom Dowco cover though. It does allow for all units to be left on.

Ok Ott…I have to eat crow. I thought my nitro came with a dowco but in fact it came from a dif manufacturer. I slammed this cover in a comment without even having one so I am deleting the comment and making it right. Actually gonna buy one from Dowco for my nitro. God bless.

Ott, Do you tow with your cover on? Additionally, is that the same cover that was an option with the boat direct from Nitro White River Marine? I haven't tried to put mine on yet so thanks for this video it'll really help.

I do. All the time if the trip is more than 2 hours or it’s raining. It should be!

@@OttDeFoeFishing I finally put my cover on the z21. It is not a dowco cover like the one you have but it is very similar. Don't know if it's of lesser quality, it is the one I paid for and ordered with my boat. The stitching that holds the plastic flange of the gas cap cover to the boat cover was mostly missing so it was only held on by 20% of the thread other than that seems to be okay.

I use a boat spray called hot sauce.... Has vinegar. Also could use a little muratic acid on a rag (gloves of course) wipe it down....the hot sauce works pretty good. More elbow grease. I use it on my talons as well.

I just scrub with the same brush and soap I use on the rest of the boat. I think it’s Star Brite soap I’ve got.

Ok thanks I thought there was an easy botton I wasn't pushing .... I'll just keep scrubbing and I'll try the star brite boat wash and some of that hot sauce spray, pulling for you on the MLF AOY !!

Lucas oil slick mist keep some of that stuff off
