I am amazed what great use of space and a beautiful layout that goes to show that you don't need a huge space to have a great layout thank you Mike for sharing your absolutely amazing master peice
Mike’s staging surrounding the layout is a stroke of genius. It allows him to have 40 car trains seamlessly and without derailments come in and out of his scenes. All in a small spare bedroom.

Awesome to hear! It was an inspiration for me when I was still into HO and N. in fact, even though I do G scale because of my eyesight this layout continues to be an inspiration.

That's an amazing model railroad! I probably read about it at some point over the years, but I don't quite remember. What impressed me the most is the length of the train. My railroad consumes more space, but I still consider it "small". My normal train length is between 10 and 15 cars. Thanks for posting this, Terry!
I think I should send you my Dominion Atlantic Alco for you to take vids running on your railway. I’d give you money to send it back and then I would run it on Mike’s railway. Then make a vid of it’s tour. You could make your own vids too, of course.
What a beautiful layout, amazing work. (And a nice guy too!) I used to get Model Railroader Magazine monthly for several years in the 2000s, - (even based my N Scale layout on an example design in one issue!)
Amazing detail that creates a wonderful atmosphere. Its easy to see how you could lose yourself in that room for hours. How long was that train? Had to watch again to count all 37 wagons/tankers etc inc caboose! With 3 locos 40! And a great musician as well.
Wow brilliant..reminds me of childhood in late 50/60s and my brother and I would spend hours playing with trains ( Hornsby ) that dad had set up a wooden base etc , unlike todays children’s toys made mostly out of plastic throw away stuff at crazy rip off prices, you used to have toys that you also learnt from but not nowadays..it’s unwrap look scrap into waste bin, sad very sad .
I completely agree! It is sad. My son and his friends are mostly into video games these days. I do encourage him into the real world. In fact, as I type he is putting together a brick model.
@@firstevidentenigma I support Israel’s right to defend itself. I feel bad for the regular people in Gaza caught up in it. Perhaps I should not have pointed out the Ukrainian flag in the video. In general I don’t want my channel to veer away from a focus on trains and hobbies.
